    Terrible experience with nerve filling

    I had a nerve filling done at this clinic, and a few weeks later, I experienced severe tooth pain. When I called, they advised me to take the recommended medication. After my second session in February, I was still in pain and contacted them again. They asked me to come in, but when I arrived, the doctor was not at the clinic, so I had to leave. Even after completing the nerve filling, the pain persisted. I tried calling again, but they were closed for the Wesak season. I expressed my frustration about feeling like they were just after our money, and they suggested I come in to check if the pain was related to the tooth they treated. The experience has been horrible, and I feel like it was a waste of money. They charged me 18,000/=, and now I need to seek another checkup for the issue. The only positive is that they do answer calls, at least.

    Exceptional dental experience

    I’m surprised by the other reviews about Dr. Liyanagama because my experience was completely different. As a student living in Brisbane, AU, I had been dealing with severe tooth pain for several months. The dentist I saw there was genuinely frightened after the examination and told me I needed to have three teeth surgically extracted. I agreed to two of them, and the quoted bill was over AU$1000, none of which would be covered by my OSHC. So, I opted to visit SL for treatment instead and saw this doctor. He examined me for just 2-3 minutes and unexpectedly gave me the anesthetics without any prior warning, which took me by surprise! 😄 However, about 20 minutes later, he extracted two of my teeth, and I can honestly say I didn’t feel a thing! I’m not exaggerating at all! This man is a genius when it comes to extractions. Don’t be misled by the other reviews; I still have a few more teeth to fill, and I’ll update my experience afterward.

    Disappointing dental clinic experience

    I recently went to this dental clinic for a nerve filling, and sadly, my experience was quite disappointing. After the treatment, I faced unexpected side effects that impacted my daily life, and I felt my concerns were not taken seriously. During my visits, I noticed several hygiene and professionalism issues. The doctor treating me wore a formal suit instead of appropriate clinical attire, and I spotted flies and a cockroach in the treatment area. The staff sprayed air fresheners and other chemicals while equipment was still present, which made me uneasy about cleanliness and safety. Additionally, I found the doctor to be rude and dismissive when I tried to voice my discomfort. I didn’t feel like a valued patient, and it seemed that my wellbeing was less important than the speed of the treatment. In summary, based on my experience, I cannot recommend this clinic and I hope they work on improving their hygiene standards and patient care.

    Serious Concerns About This Clinic

    I'm sharing my honest opinion here. It appears that some reviews are being countered by overly positive ones. When a negative review appears, a good review often follows, claiming that the negative comments are misleading. In my view, this clinic isn't appropriate for severe cases or major surgeries. While it might be fine for routine tooth fillings and simple extractions (my wife had treatment there without any issues), I wouldn’t recommend it for serious procedures or nerve fillings. My own experience was terrible, and a friend faced significant problems for a long time due to improper treatment. People write reviews based on their own experiences, and no one should criticize others for sharing theirs. We can't know what someone else has endured at this clinic or how much they've suffered. If someone has had a positive experience, they should just share that without disrespecting others' feedback. Additionally, where you’re from or where you live shouldn't influence a health-related experience. Pain and emotions are universal. This isn't like reviewing hotels or meals; it’s about health. I've noticed that most reviews are negative. Ultimately, it's up to each individual to read and consider others' comments before making a decision.

    Avoid this dental clinic

    I cannot recommend this place due to their unprofessional treatment, which left me feeling like my time and money were wasted, and my health was jeopardized. I went to this dental surgery clinic because of a terrible toothache. A male doctor examined me and suggested I needed a surgical extraction, scheduling the procedure for later that night. However, when I arrived for the surgery, a different woman—whose qualifications were never explained to me—carried out the procedure instead of the doctor I had consulted. I wasn’t informed about this change or asked for my consent, which felt deeply misleading. After the extraction, my condition worsened significantly. The area got infected, I experienced intense pain, and I believe I suffered nerve damage. The medication I received didn’t help, and my recovery dragged on for nearly three months. During follow-up visits, the doctor pressed on the wounded area while I was in excruciating pain, and I even found myself screaming. This whole experience was incredibly traumatic. Eventually, I sought help from another dentist, who prescribed the right medication and care, which finally led to improvement. Overall, this experience was frightening, painful, and a total waste of resources. What troubled me the most was that the procedure was performed by someone other than the doctor I initially consulted, without any explanation or consent. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone seeking safe and professional dental care.

    I had an awful experience at this clinic yesterday. I waited for nearly three hours. The doctors and staff seemed indifferent to the patients. They were chatting among themselves in the theater while attending to patients. I wouldn't recommend this place if you care about your time and money.

    I've visited this clinic multiple times with my family to see Dr. Duminda. Each visit had us impressed by the sophisticated care and outstanding dental services provided. He comes highly recommended by numerous medical professionals for his meticulous and precise dental treatments. Having experienced the care myself, it's easy to understand why. The clinic offers ample parking, clean hallways, and well-kept waiting areas, creating a comfortable and welcoming environment for patients. On one occasion, when Dr. Duminda was unavailable, his wife stepped in and provided us with equally excellent treatment. Previously, we had faced various issues and discomfort from other dental clinics and even at the DGH. However, at this clinic, the service was so refined and precise that we didn’t require a single painkiller after several fillings. ♥️ The prices for the services are incredibly reasonable, making it hard to believe they offer such high-quality care at such affordable rates. For some simpler treatments, we weren't even charged, which was a pleasant surprise. This clinic is likely the best in the region, with highly skilled doctors delivering exceptional service to both local and distant patients. I wholeheartedly recommend this fantastic place to anyone in need of essential dental care for a healthier, happier life. ♥️

    Terrible experience with dental filling

    I had my front two teeth filled by the doctor, but he left a big gap between them and used a filling that was a completely different color. After just a month, it broke and fell out. He charged me Rs 45,000 for this. Since I live overseas, I ended up paying for the filling twice, as I had to get it redone in Australia for only AUD 190. You can really see the difference in pricing. His materials seem to be of poor quality. I don’t understand why people go to him, just because someone claims he's good. This isn't good practice; it's merely marketing. If you're looking for quality work, I suggest finding another dentist. This clinic is just a waste of money, prioritizing profit over patient comfort.

    After suffering from a severe toothache for three days, I initially saw another doctor, but the pain returned that same night. The next day, I went to see Dr. Duminda, who provided outstanding care. Following his recommendation, I opted for a nerve filling. Now, three weeks later, I'm feeling significantly better, and I can't express my gratitude enough. My husband also had a tooth scaling that day and he's extremely pleased with the results. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Liyanagama to anyone in need of dental care.
