    A Warm Return to Mahagedara Dickwella

    This place truly feels like a home away from home🙌🏼. Minu is more than just a host; he’s become a friend to us. We visited last year for just two days and formed a great connection, so we returned this year to catch up with a friend and spent most of our vacation here. The location is very safe and nicely distanced from the busy street. Hiriketiya Beach, a popular spot, is nearby, along with a trendy new area called “Clear Point.” There’s plenty going on around here, so you won’t be bored. The accommodations are clean and cozy. Minu and his team really take care of everything👍🏻. Breakfast is consistently delicious and enjoyable. Plus, the monkey show is included in the price👌🏼😉. Wishing all the best for Mahagedara Dickwella and the team👍🏻. This isn’t goodbye, just a see you soon🫶🌴

    Charming stay with excellent service

    This charming spot offers wonderful hospitality from Minu and the team. There are just three rooms, which are clean and well-maintained. While the rooms are somewhat small, they are quite adequate for the price. The location is peaceful, with no disturbances from the busy road nearby. You’ll find a grocery store next to the drive-in, and the beach is only a short 7-minute stroll away.

    Amazing stay in Sri Lanka

    Wow! This is probably the best place I've experienced in Sri Lanka, and it's definitely budget-friendly. I regret not booking more nights, but the one I had was fantastic. The rooms are nice, clean, and the air conditioning works perfectly. You won't hear any street noise, just the sound of birds. It truly feels like you're in a jungle. The house is modern and contemporary, yet has a local touch, which is super cool. Jazz music plays during the day, and there are many interesting artifacts from the owner's family to explore. The owner is a modern local guy who was very helpful in assisting me with finding my next destination. Breakfast was incredible! They even serve a smoothie! Plus, the garden has really comfortable chairs. This place is something special, and it’s just a 5-minute walk to the beach ❤️

    A peaceful retreat in Dickwella

    This place is a little gem right in the center of Dickwella. I was pleasantly surprised by how serene and tranquil it felt, even with the bustling streets nearby. If you're searching for a calm environment, this is definitely it! ☺️ The room was up-to-date, spotless, and had excellent air conditioning. However, it was the little thoughtful details that really impressed me—bottled water in the room, fresh flowers on the tables, guidebooks available, and even bug spray. Starting the day with breakfast in the garden was delightful. And Minu—what a true gentleman! He was incredibly kind, helpful, and genuinely considerate. We’re looking forward to returning on our next visit to Sri Lanka! 💕

    A Relaxing Retreat in Nature

    From the moment I stepped into Mahagedara Dickwella, it felt like home. The atmosphere is unique—very chill, serene, and immersed in nature. If you want to unwind and take it slow, this is the perfect place! It’s budget-friendly and truly exceeds expectations. What stood out to me was the genuine hospitality from Minu and his team, which is truly remarkable, along with the location—it's near Hiriketiya Beach yet still maintains a peaceful vibe away from the hustle and bustle. The breakfast was also delicious. You can enjoy the surrounding nature, with plenty of birds, monkeys, and authentic tropical ambiance. I would definitely return—10000% recommend!

    Lovely stay with a great host

    This beautiful accommodation is nestled in a peaceful garden, yet it's just a stone's throw away from a vibrant neighborhood. Minu is an exceptional host who truly made us feel at home, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable. The rooms are both spacious and spotless, and the bathroom is the best I've experienced in Sri Lanka. Highly recommend! 5/5 stars!

    I highly recommend staying here! 🤩 The rooms are stunning, modern, and the mattresses are incredibly comfortable. Minu, the owner, is really friendly, making you feel right at home as soon as you arrive. The location is perfect since it’s a bit away from the hustle and bustle of Hiri Bay. This guesthouse is so peaceful and tranquil, ensuring you’ll get a great night’s sleep. :)

    What a fantastic little oasis right in the heart of Dickwella! You can watch monkeys and other wildlife, the rooms are impeccably clean, and our host went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful stay. Highly recommend!

    Great stay with attentive host

    We really enjoyed our time here! Minu is an excellent host who pays attention to every detail and knows how to treat his guests right. He also arranged a bike rental and laundry service for us without any hassle, which was super convenient. We highly recommend this place, along with the breakfast and curry!

    We had a fantastic time at Mahagedara Dikwella. Minu was an incredibly kind host. The rooms were cozy, peaceful, and impeccably clean. It's just a short walk from Dikwella Beach. The guest house features a lovely garden where you might spot monkeys and other wildlife if you're fortunate. There was no street noise, allowing us to sleep soundly. Plus, the breakfast was truly outstanding. We thoroughly enjoyed our three-night stay!
