The rooms are simple and tidy, featuring a clean bathroom. However, the shower is quite loud, and having construction work above my room starting at 8am on a Saturday was quite the unwelcome alarm. On the plus side, it's conveniently located near Fort Station.

I have no complaints at all! The room was lovely and clean, and it's just a quick hop, skip, and jump to a recommended local eatery that was delicious. Big up!

The place is very clean and well-maintained. It's centrally located, just 1.5 km from all the major tourist attractions. The security system is impressive. However, there isn't any food or café available on-site. The railway station is right next to the accommodation, but it wasn't a problem for us. Just a tip: avoid paying offline and book through booking.com or another reliable site to make your payment.

The hotel is located just half a kilometer from Colombo Fort railway station, which takes about 10-15 minutes to walk. The accommodations are modern, and the dorms each have curtains for privacy. The staff are friendly and accommodating; they even recommended a great nearby restaurant to me. Booking through Agoda is a smart move since it can save you at least $10. I decided to extend my stay for another night directly with the hotel, but they informed me they would charge $35 instead of the $25 I originally paid through Agoda. While they advertise a 24-hour front desk, it's worth noting that check-ins aren't allowed after 11 PM. This could be an issue if your flight gets delayed or something unexpected occurs.

This is a solid option for a quick stop in the city. It's conveniently located right on the main road close to Regal Cinema in Colombo's business district. The receptionist, Naam, was quite the character. When we arrived late in the evening, he seemed a bit overwhelmed, but the next morning he was all smiles, mentioning he hadn't been feeling well. The room was tidy and comfortable, though we did encounter a couple of cockroaches, which Naam quickly dealt with as soon as we walked in 🤣🤣. Overall, it was pretty basic; a shower curtain would have been a nice touch. Galle Mall is less than a kilometer away, and the area feels safe even at night. They provide a water dispenser and utensils in the common area. Just a heads-up: there's no elevator, so be ready to carry your bags up the stairs.

This place offers a great price and a fantastic location. The beds are quite comfy, providing a nice sense of privacy. The bathrooms are spacious and well-maintained. However, I found it a bit chilly at night since the bedding is rather thin. It would be nice to have a duvet or an extra blanket on hand, though perhaps they do provide them if you ask.

The hotel is decent for a one-night stay, but we ended up spending two nights. Unfortunately, we didn’t sleep well due to the noise from birds, trains, and cars. The birds chirped throughout the night and in the morning, even banging on the roof and doors. There’s a complete lack of sound insulation, and we were awakened by noisy neighbors. I included a video showing the sounds from the room. On the bright side, the room itself was attractive, clean, and well-kept. However, we faced the issue of not having a blanket, which made it chilly to sleep with the air conditioning on; without it, the room was stuffy and hot, so I ended up sleeping in my clothes. The passageway to the rooms is located inside the building and is quite old and dirty, where we even found a large dead cockroach. If it weren’t for this corridor, the hotel would feel much cozier and nicer. Additionally, we had to climb to the 3rd floor through several doors. The staff, however, were very friendly and welcomed us at 1 a.m.

Citibeds is ideally situated close to the railway station and the port city, making it easy to reach. On a positive note, my room on the 3rd floor was both spacious and tidy. It had a fan, air conditioning, and hot water. However, the only toiletries provided were soap and towels, and there was no extra toilet paper. Although there was an electric kettle and microwave available at the reception, tea or coffee wasn’t offered at that time. Additionally, finding nearby food options proved to be a challenge. The staircase and parking area could use a bit more cleaning, but overall, the room was comfortable considering the price and location.
