Our BBQ night with friends yesterday was a fantastic outing. The staff greeted us with a warm welcome, the food exceeded our expectations, and the atmosphere was peaceful and inviting. This spot is definitely a hidden gem, and we can't wait to come back!

The food was fantastic and the rooms were tidy. Although the washroom and room had a slight odor, I got used to it after a while. A spritz of perfume helped. The pool was pristine, and the washrooms were well-maintained, plus the staff were really friendly. The hotel offers a nice view of the beach, but the nearby buildings sometimes detract from the overall atmosphere.

I made a last-minute reservation and was pleasantly surprised by the helpfulness and accommodating nature of the owner and staff. The room was spacious, clean, and had great AC and Wi-Fi. Everyone I met was genuinely friendly and eager to assist. The lane leading to the hotel is narrow and not very well lit, but having 24/7 security is a nice reassurance. I didn’t get the chance to enjoy the rooftop pool or the restaurant, but both appeared lovely. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality!

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The room was cozy and well-kept, and the location is fantastic—just a short walk to the beach. The staff were friendly, accommodating, and always had a smile, which really enhanced my experience. As a minor suggestion for improvement, it would be great if the breakfast menu had more variety, and the service during breakfast and at the restaurant could be quicker, as there was some waiting involved. Overall, it was a positive experience, and we would think about returning.

I recently spent two weeks here. The staff was very welcoming and eager to cater to your needs, whether for dining or in-room services. The service overall has been quite pleasant. The location is ideal if you frequently need to be in the Colombo area. However, there were some downsides: I had no hot water in my room for the entire stay, and the broken lifts made things a bit challenging. The road leading to the hotel is riddled with large potholes, which slightly damaged my car due to the narrow and poorly lit surroundings. I hope the local council can address these issues soon. Compared to the larger and more upscale Mount Lavinia hotel nearby, this place offers good value for the money, despite some drawbacks like the sea view room facing a large dumpster—definitely not the best smell to wake up to in the morning! 😜 Pros include budget-friendly prices and a good location, while the cons are outdated amenities, access difficulties, and the nearby garbage disposal area.

I had a pleasant stay at the Lavinia Bay Beach Hotel. The highlight of my visit was definitely the service; the staff was friendly and dedicated, making for a seamless experience. The sea-facing rooms offer a nice view, and while you might catch a glimpse of trains on the nearby tracks, the noise isn't an issue. There’s an unsightly empty lot next door, but it’s easy to overlook when focused on the view. The room amenities are quite good for the price, and the beds and pillows are comfortable. The WiFi connection works well enough. The restaurant is fantastic, with generous portion sizes, so it's wise to inquire about servings before placing an order. A special shoutout to Ansana at the reception, as well as the restaurant staff.

It was fantastic, but I want to outline some positives and negatives. ||Negative aspects: The beach view was disappointing because of a nearby factory; everything else was fine. This is my third visit, which is why I'm particularly concerned about this issue.

This hotel is stunning and offers great service. The reception team, especially Sarojani, Mano, and Chamara, made our visit enjoyable and fun.
