Disappointing Experience at The Fire Street

I had a really disappointing experience at The Fire Street Restaurant in Panadura today. Before I placed my order, I called to inquire about how many people the medium Mix Chopsy Rice could serve. I was informed it would be sufficient for an adult and a child. However, upon receiving my order, I found the portion size to be incredibly small—certainly not enough for even one person. I’ve attached a photo of both the portion and the bill, as this was quite disheartening. To make matters worse, I picked up the food myself from the restaurant rather than having it delivered through PickMe, yet the packaging was still subpar. The food was merely wrapped with PickMe tape, which seemed very unprofessional and disappointing. I also ordered a medium Sprite, which should cost around Rs. 200, but I was charged Rs. 250. When I inquired about this, I was told it was the restaurant's price. Overall, spending LKR 3245 on this meal was not worth it at all. The small portion, inadequate packaging, and pricing left me extremely dissatisfied. I expected far better service and value for my money.

Delicious Mixed Rice Experience

I ordered their mixed rice through Uber Eats and absolutely loved it. The portion was huge, the ingredients were perfectly balanced, and it arrived hot. It really gave off that genuine, spicy street food vibe. I highly recommend it!

Delicious seafood kottu experience

I had the most amazing seafood kottu yesterday, and it felt like it had been forever since I enjoyed something so good! I brought it home, and the portion was huge and incredibly flavorful. There was an abundance of seafood and just the right amount of spice. If you're in the mood for some excellent kottu, you definitely need to give this a try.

Delicious mix kottu at The Fire Street

I dined at The Fire Street two days ago, and the mix kottu was incredible. The portion was large, packed with meat, and everything was incredibly fresh. I really enjoyed the spicy kick. I will certainly be ordering it again.

Disappointing Experience with Overpriced Food

We ordered the combo pack that included fried rice and kottu, along with a Coke. Unfortunately, the Coke was frozen solid into a big ice cube. The fried rice was supposed to be Basmati rice, but it turned out to be samba rice, and it was completely bland—no salt at all. The food is overpriced, with all items costing over 2000, and the portions are quite small. I really wouldn’t recommend visiting this place; it’s truly disappointing.
