This place has a great vibe and is perfectly situated for tourists, just a stone’s throw from the town center. I truly appreciated the owner’s friendly attitude. Don’t hesitate to drop by for a drink and chat about your travel plans. He’s more than willing to help you confirm information or even suggest some beneficial changes. Whether you’re staying in Haputale or just passing through, it's definitely worth a visit.

The venue was pleasant and the food was enjoyable. However, the service was disappointing. We were having a great time until our server decided to hit on my partner while I stepped away briefly. He persistently flirted with her and even had the nerve to ask for her phone number the moment I went to the restroom. This created a very awkward situation for both of us. We chose not to make a scene since we had just started our trip and didn't want to engage with inappropriate behavior. I usually avoid leaving negative reviews, but I feel it's important to warn couples and solo female travelers to be cautious and perhaps steer clear of this establishment.

This is one of the best spots to dine in Haputale. I've been here multiple times, and the food is consistently fresh and healthy. Neil, the owner, prepares each meal fresh upon order. I appreciate the nice touches, like the side of steamed veggies that comes with every kottu, along with a delicious homemade gravy made from his own vegetable stock. Everything is made with fresh and pure ingredients. The fruit juices are also incredible. Neil is not only super friendly but also very knowledgeable about the local area, Sri Lankan culture, and the local flora and fauna. He can even suggest some great walking trails. I highly recommend stopping by when you're in Haputale.

Though they were closed, we could still enjoy some drinks. The tea and coffee were both outstanding. We had a lovely conversation with the owner, who suggested a tea shop that was quite affordable. I highly recommend this restaurant!
