Warm hospitality and stunning views

My experience at Leisure Mount View in Haputale was truly memorable. I've never encountered such a welcoming, family-like vibe and genuine hospitality anywhere else in the world. Right from the start, the owners and staff treated me not just as a guest, but as part of their family. They were incredibly attentive to my needs and did everything possible to ensure my stay was perfect. Their kindness, care, and authenticity created a unique experience that went far beyond typical hotel service. The beds were very comfortable, providing a great night's sleep after exploring the hills. The food was simply delightful — fresh, flavorful, and made with love. Each meal felt like it was prepared at home, rich with local character. The views were nothing short of breathtaking: endless mountains, clouds rolling through the valleys, and beautiful tea plantations stretching out as far as I could see. A highlight of my stay was taking cooking classes that featured traditional local dishes. We used fresh ingredients from the owners’ garden, making the experience even more genuine and meaningful. It was not just a cooking lesson but also a wonderful cultural exchange. I truly appreciate that half of the proceeds go towards helping underprivileged children. Knowing my stay supported such a worthwhile cause made the experience even more significant. I highly recommend this place to anyone. Comfortable stay with a great mission

This place is fantastic in every way! The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the service is highly professional, all set in a quiet spot right on the Pekoe Trail. If you're looking to unwind in a cozy bed for a night or two, this is definitely the spot for you. The standout feature is the owner and staff, who are always ready to meet your needs and go above and beyond to make a positive impact in their community. They employ single mothers and youth from challenging backgrounds, which is commendable. Plus, they operate a no food waste policy, ensuring that any leftover food is donated and distributed. You can also sign up for cooking classes in an outdoor kitchen, using produce from their garden. His English is excellent, so you can easily book directly using the WhatsApp number listed on Google.

Wonderful stay with amazing views

We really enjoyed our time here. The rooms are clean and spacious, offering stunning views of the mountains and tea plantations. The food was good, and the owner, Hasan, along with his team, were always ready to assist us and took great care of us. He even spent time with us during dinner, getting to know us and helping us plan our itinerary for Haputale and the logistics for getting around. Hasan is a genuinely nice person, and by the end of our stay, we felt as though we had known him for much longer than just two days. We feel fortunate to have encountered such straightforward and down-to-earth individuals during our travels in Sri Lanka! Lovely stay with great views

This place is stunning in every way! The rooms are exceptionally clean and comfy, offering a unique view of a tea hill and the valley. Great hotel with magical views

This was one of the best hotels we experienced in Sri Lanka, and it offered a very reasonable price. The rooms are spacious and impeccably clean, with no musty odors. Luxurious stay with breathtaking views

My sister and I spent a night here, and I can genuinely say this was the most comfortable bed we've ever experienced! Our room was simply outstanding, looking brand new with beautiful furniture and an incredible view! It was also a plus to have an enclosed shower, which kept the bathroom floor dry after we showered. We had a tasty dinner of Biriyani tailored to our spice preference, followed by breakfast that included fresh fruit, coffee (or tea), eggs cooked just the way we wanted, and a variety of bread and pastries. Plus, the dining area offered stunning views as well. The owner checked in on us during dinner and in the morning to make sure everything was going well, and it absolutely was. The staff were all very generous and kind. And did I mention the seating area surrounded by a lovely garden filled with plants and blooming flowers 🌺? If you're in Haputale, this is truly the best place to stay! I assure you, you won't regret spending time in this luxurious hotel.

Beautiful stay with great service

We spent yesterday at the Haputale Leisure Mount View Hotel, and it met all our expectations. The location is breathtaking, with a lovely sky, drifting clouds, and mist that comes and goes, keeping the atmosphere fresh throughout the day. The hotel's garden is vibrant, filled with lush vegetation and colorful blooms. Our room was neat and comfortable, and the staff were genuinely warm and accommodating. They arranged for us to have a 4th floor room with the finest view to suit our preferences. We arrived late on the first day, around 7:30 p.m. Thinking checkout would be the usual 12:00 p.m., we were surprised to learn it was actually 10:30 a.m. However, the staff was not pushy; they kindly checked in with us at 11:15 a.m. to see if we were staying on the 17th — that’s when we discovered the checkout time. We quickly got ready and left, and they were completely understanding of our situation. They even provided us with breakfast at the room-only rate. The Sri Lankan breakfast, featuring string hoppers and rich curries, was delightful. What a wonderful experience with customer service. I highly recommend it if you’re visiting Haputale.

Great location, disappointing service

The location, rooms, and views are wonderful, but the service from management is surprisingly poor. Even when you reserve through what is claimed to be a secure platform, they might cancel your booking at the last minute. In my case, I had five rooms booked for three nights for clients, and it was extremely frustrating.
