Luxurious Stay at Blackwood Hotel

We stayed at the Blackwood Hotel on August 9th in a triple room, and it was simply luxurious. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the warm welcome and the cleanliness of our room, which was fantastic. The balcony offered a mesmerizing panoramic view, and all the room services were top-notch. The room rates were also reasonable and worth every penny. The breakfast was homemade, delicious, and fresh. For anyone looking for a great vacation spot, we wholeheartedly recommend Blackwood Hotel without hesitation. We definitely look forward to spending another chilly night there! ♥️♥️♥️

Great stay with beautiful views

Great stay with minor room issue

Our family spent a night here and we were quite pleased with everything. The place has a beautiful aesthetic and is ideally located for exploring the area. The staff was very welcoming, and both the TV and wifi connections were excellent. Additionally, they serve delicious food at a reasonable price, and the room rates are quite affordable as well. Our only concern was the room size, but given the way the place is designed, it's understandable. We highly recommend this spot.

Great stay at Blackwood

We reserved the bungalow along with 5 rooms for a two-night stay. The hotel’s location is excellent, and the rooms are spotless. Comfortable stay at Black Wood Hotel

We spent two nights at Black Wood Hotel, and it truly lived up to our expectations. The hotel provides comfortable rooms that are great for families, and for larger groups of up to 12 people, there's a charming bungalow available. This bungalow includes three bedrooms, a pool table, and a nice balcony that’s perfect for sipping drinks while enjoying the stunning views. We opted for a full-board stay at the hotel. The rooms were cozy, clean, and well-kept. The views were absolutely gorgeous, and the food was delicious and authentically made. Thilak, the hotel manager, was very accommodating and flexible, and Hasitha’s service was particularly impressive. Next time, I’ll definitely reserve the bungalow. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing and peaceful retreat. One small suggestion would be to offer a welcome drink upon arrival as a nice touch.

Charming stay with great service

I stayed at this property during the April 2026 holidays and it genuinely felt like a cozy cottage along the misty main road of Haputale, almost as if it was on the edge of a mountain cliff. A small stream nearby added a serene, natural charm to the whole experience. The staff were very friendly, attentive, and supportive throughout my visit. I want to especially mention the property owner, who on Sinhala New Year day, ensured my request was met even when I thought it would be busy. As a fan of red string hoppers for breakfast, I was truly impressed and thankful for the effort made to accommodate my preference. That kind of care really made my stay memorable. The overall atmosphere was calm and refreshing. The garden was well-kept, and the amenities were in excellent condition. Additionally, the property has a lovely rooftop café that runs parallel to the main road, giving a unique aspect to the stay, and the view from my room was stunning. Dinner was incredibly delicious, and I thoroughly enjoyed the menu options. However, the seating in the dining area is quite close together, so your experience might be slightly impacted if other guests are loud or disruptive.
