This is a fantastic spot for anyone who enjoys nature and tranquility! It's a fruit and chicken farm right on the edge of a lake. We stayed in a detached cottage, which was both spacious and comfortable. Visit date: July 25-26, 2025.

The cottages are located on a farm, a bit away from the village center, which adds to their charm with the surrounding nature and tranquility. There's a nearby lake where you can spot buffaloes and many birds. The rooms are tidy, featuring a comfy bed and a roomy bathroom.

Everything was pretty fantastic, but the presence of numerous lizards in the room was a bit off-putting. However, given that the property is nestled right in the forest, it's somewhat expected.

This place is quite secluded, yet only a 10-minute drive from the main road, making it perfect for a relaxing retreat away from the hustle and bustle. It overlooks a stunning lake that is particularly picturesque in the morning. There are two distinct villa-style rooms available—one for couples and one for families. Both accommodations were tidy and well-maintained, with spacious and clean bathrooms. There's a lovely garden area where kids can play, and they also have a farm with a variety of fruits grown on-site. The staff were approachable and delivered good service. Just be sure to get directions from them before heading out, as Google Maps indicates a different route that doesn’t lead to the hotel if you're traveling from Tissamaharama. Look for the sign on the main road and make your turn there; the map might suggest going further, but following the signs will lead you straight to the location with ease. Highly recommended.

I have mixed feelings about this hotel. On the bright side, the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful — no complaints in that regard. However, the overall experience didn’t justify the cost. The room appeared outdated and wasn’t cleaned properly, which was quite disappointing considering how high the price was. For what you receive, it's far too expensive — it honestly feels a bit like a scam. I wouldn’t return unless they significantly enhance the cleanliness and provide better value for the money. You can find much cheaper safaris on your own.

The hosts were wonderful, and the location was fantastic, set by a lake where buffalos and crocodiles can be seen at night. The breakfast was outstanding, and the room was both beautiful and spacious. On the downside, the bathroom had an unpleasant smell, but it seemed to come from outside.

We had a fantastic time at Go Yala Farm Villa! The room exceeded our expectations in cleanliness and comfort, especially considering the price. The staff were attentive and took care of all our transportation needs, including pickup, the safari jeep, and drop-off. A standout moment of our trip was the cooking demonstration where we picked fresh vegetables from the farm and watched as a delicious homemade rice and curry was cooked over firewood. Our safari experience was amazing and more affordable than if we had booked elsewhere. Highly recommended!

This is an incredible spot on a farm. You can truly sense nature with every breath you take. The staff provides a tour, explaining all the plants, and you even get to taste some fruits. Nearby, there's a pond where you can see various Sri Lankan bird species and even a crocodile during the day.
