I paid $59 for a room that felt a lot like a prison cell. There were no windows, so there was no ventilation, and the fan was very weak. To make matters worse, the water in the taps and shower stopped working during our stay. For $59, I expected more than this.

We stayed for four nights and it truly was fantastic. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the breakfast was excellent. Both the grounds and the rooms were well-maintained. It's conveniently located right in the center of town and near the beach. We really wished we had booked more days with them... I highly recommend it.

I had a fantastic time at Atteriya Chill during my recent vacation! The location right by the beach is just ideal – you can hear the waves from your room and catch stunning sunsets just a few steps away. The atmosphere is soothing, the rooms are tidy and comfortable, and the staff was mostly friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. The hotel's overall vibe is serene and laid-back – just what you need for a relaxing escape. The food and shared spaces were also quite enjoyable. It's definitely a place where you can relax and connect with nature. Just a minor suggestion: it would be nice if the hotel could supply a few more water bottles in the rooms, especially given the beach climate where dehydration can be an issue. Aside from that, it’s a charming place, and I would surely recommend it to beach enthusiasts looking for a tranquil retreat!

I’m puzzled by the negative comments about the staff or the hotel. We had nothing but positive experiences, especially with the manager, who was incredibly friendly. While he may not be overly formal, he genuinely strives to ensure your satisfaction. The beds in the rooms are indeed a bit short, but that’s not something he or the staff can control; it’s more of an issue for the management or hotel owners. The pricing is quite reasonable too. In fact, the hotel next door, Golden Beach, is a disaster compared to this place and costs even more. This hotel is right on the beach, and while the beach service may not be top-notch, it’s understandable. Most guests head to the nearby beach bars anyway. Here, you can relax, lounge around, enjoy coconuts, and have a good time. I want to express my gratitude to the manager for being so friendly and attentive regarding our bill, which had some complications. We stayed from August 4 to August 8, 2025, in two rooms, and our two sons were also very happy with their accommodations. Thank you for that! We plan to return in 2027, hopefully with a longer bed since I’m 194 cm tall. By the way, some people complain about noise, but what do you expect? There are beach bars and street bars with music nearby. If you want peace, don’t stay at the beach!

This is a fantastic place to stay! The price is very reasonable, and the location is excellent. It’s just a 10-minute walk to the main area, yet far enough down the strip to avoid the noise from parties, which is perfect if you're there to surf! The owners were incredibly accommodating and made sure we were satisfied. Our room was very comfortable and right on the beach—couldn't have asked for more! I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Arugam Bay!

We visited Arugam Bay during the offseason, which made the area feel a bit deserted. Many restaurants were closed and the beach was in need of cleaning. The hotel also had its share of issues, with maintenance happening in the yard. I brought these concerns to the manager's attention, and he was quite responsive and understanding. He even provided us with a discount and a complimentary evening meal, where we enjoyed some delicious fish. Overall, it turned out to be a nice experience despite the rocky beginning. The rooms were spotless!

However, the only downside is that there isn't much ventilation, making the room feel a bit stuffy due to the single small window. We had a fantastic experience at this hotel in Arugam Bay, Sri Lanka! The warm welcome we received at check-in set a positive tone, and the staff were consistently friendly and attentive. Our rooms were tidy, cozy, and well-kept. The hotel's prime location in Arugam is a significant perk.
