The food was fantastic, the service was delightful, and there was even a beautiful cat! The ambiance was outstanding as well. The owner was incredibly nice and even picked peppers straight from her garden for us! We had a wonderful afternoon here.

The food here is fantastic and really reminds me of home! The atmosphere is comforting and warm, and the lady who served us, along with her whole family, were incredibly friendly. They even brought us Bombay peppers from her garden ✨✨✨. Plus, the adorable cat and her two kittens were a delightful surprise for me 😺❤️. If you find yourself in Matara, definitely stop by to eat and support local businesses!

I enjoyed four different vegetable curries that were all incredibly tasty and mild in spice. The pancakes and fresh fruit drinks were delightful as well! I appreciated the warm and inviting atmosphere too :)

This is the most delicious kotta I've ever had! It's so flavorful and comes with pineapples 😍 The restaurant is small, cozy, and really nice. I'm thrilled to have discovered this place and wholeheartedly recommend it 💖 I can't wait to visit again! Thank you so much 🥰

We truly adore Kumudu and her Rice and Curry Restaurant. Every dish is incredibly flavorful, generous, and budget-friendly. The rice and curry is a standout! 😋🤩😍 It feels like being welcomed into a friend's home, with a warm and inviting atmosphere. Their cat recently had two kittens that were a big hit with the kids. During our week at Polhena beach, we made sure to visit Kumudu as often as possible, enjoying two breakfasts and three dinners, all for a total of no more than 5500 rupees for two adults and two children. Just a heads up ⚠️ One order of pancakes actually comes with eight! 🥞😍😅

Located in a charming garden setting within a home and run by a wonderful local family, the experience is truly special. The food is outstanding, far surpassing what you typically find on the main strip, and it’s served with genuine pride and friendly smiles. I had three meals here, and I’m incredibly thankful to have discovered it.

I just enjoyed an amazing meal, or maybe I should call it a FEAST. This restaurant is run by the sweetest family, and the food was truly delightful. The prices are very fair for the generous portions. It's definitely a place worth visiting!
