Great customer service experience

I've stayed at many hotels like Jetwing, Cinnamon Grand, and Hilton Mountain, but I haven't visited this hotel yet. I called them to inquire about a day out, and although it wasn't part of a package, the person I spoke with was very kind and assured me he would arrange it. I'm giving 5 stars based on this interaction. I'll be visiting on the 18th, and I'll provide another review focusing on customer service and everything else then. For now, I'm commenting on the kindness of their customer service, which has made me trust this hotel.

Great service and value in Matale

From the moment we made our reservation, the service from Mr. Nihal and his team was exceptional. They responded to all our questions through WhatsApp and phone calls, and did their best to meet our special requests. The location is very convenient, just a short walk to most central spots in Matale. It’s also surrounded by lush greenery, creating a tranquil atmosphere. This property offers excellent value for the price, and we highly recommend it to others.

Reliable service and tasty food

Clover Grange offers excellent hospitality and delicious food. Even though I live abroad, I've ordered from them a couple of times for my parents and family in Sri Lanka, and they consistently deliver reliable and quality service. The location is pleasant and relaxing, and they even helped me plan a surprise birthday party for my sister at the hotel on short notice. I found the food to be reasonably priced considering the level of service provided. I would definitely recommend both the hotel and the food.

Impressive Wedding Ceremony Experience

I attended a wedding ceremony on July 16th, marking my first experience at a nighttime outdoor wedding. I was truly impressed by the elegant and simple ambiance. The lighting, arrangement of furniture, table settings, and the couple's seating were all executed beautifully. I highly recommend their food—it was simply outstanding. The serving staff were polite, friendly, and always present to attend to the guests. From the welcome drink to the dessert, everything was delicious. I would recommend them without hesitation.

Delicious meals with a nice view

The food at this hotel is impressively good. Every dish is tasty and offers great value. I also want to highlight the staff, who are very friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home. The location is quite convenient, situated in the heart of Matale city, so it’s easy to find. This is an excellent spot to relax or grab a meal while passing through Matale. They are also adhering to all COVID safety protocols and social distancing guidelines.

Exceptional hospitality and great food

This hotel sets a high standard for hospitality! It's definitely one of my top favorites. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Aside from the soothing atmosphere of the place, the highlight was the amazing food and stellar service at the restaurant. The menu offers a wonderful range of options, and the dishes were prepared to perfection. We're planning to come back as often as we can.

Charming stay with warm hospitality

Nice stay but food options lacking

This place is a serene escape from the hustle of Matale, right in the heart of town and surrounded by lovely gardens. Our room was tidy, though a bit dim. The linens were clean but had a strong smell, reminiscent of mothballs. Unfortunately, there was no food offered on-site, and we were advised to find a meal elsewhere in town. As travelers looking for genuine local cuisine with some wine, we struggled to find a restaurant that met both criteria. After wandering the main streets, we ended up settling for something less than ideal. A suggestion would be to offer home-cooked meals, which would greatly enhance the overall experience.

Hidden Gem in Matale

While on a work trip, we participated in a training program at Hotel Clover Grange Matale. The hotel is located down a brief lane from the main road, making it a bit surprising to encounter such a well-kept property, resembling a Hermitage home.
