    Cozy stay with great hospitality

    We had a wonderful time during our stay. Considering the price I paid, it was truly a good deal. The room was clean and well-kept, and I enjoyed a lovely view of Matale town from the window. Breakfast was tasty and satisfying. What stood out the most for me was the couple who owns the place; they were incredibly kind and their warm hospitality made me feel at home. All in all, it’s a straightforward, comfortable spot that offers excellent value. I would gladly return here again.

    Warm and Inviting Homestay Experience

    The aunt and uncle are incredibly kind, providing a friendly atmosphere filled with hospitality. It felt as though we were at home. This peaceful and spotless homestay is well-equipped and offers exceptional value for the price. The food is also quite tasty.

    Informative and Authentic Village Tour

    We arrived in Matala to check out the national spice garden, but it turns out it's closed on weekends. What a stroke of luck! After a restful night and a lovely breakfast, our host guided us on an incredibly informative tour of the local fruits and spices flourishing naturally in his village. This 90-minute excursion, which included visits to other family gardens, felt genuinely authentic. It was truly worth every penny.

    Charming Homestay in Matale

    This is the best place to stay in Matale. This is how a homestay should feel. The hosts are amazing and incredibly caring. They’re absolutely delightful. Breakfast in the morning is fantastic, along with the coffee. The house itself is beautiful and cozy, and the rooms are quite nice.

    Wonderful Stay with Amazing Hosts

    Staying with Pearl and her husband was a delightful experience; they're some of the kindest individuals in Sri Lanka. Their homestay is situated in a stunning spot with breathtaking views of Matale, and the accommodations were excellent—spotlessly clean and full of character. Their hospitality was exceptional; they took great care of us, prepared a fantastic breakfast, and shared insightful and helpful information. I only wish we could have extended our stay beyond one night! If you find yourself in Matale, this place is a must-visit!

    Great views and lovely hosts

    We stayed for just one night while heading to the Knuckles region and arrived without a reservation. Thankfully, we were given a spacious room with stunning views. Breakfast was enjoyable, featuring fruit, toast, an omelette, sausages, and my favorite sweet pancake! The shower was nice, and the bed was comfortable, though a bit firm. The hosts were absolutely lovely!

    Wonderful homestay experience in Matale

    Where to start... this homestay has so many amazing aspects! Pearl and Ranjan’s home is stunning and instantly felt welcoming upon our arrival. They provided us with warm, sincere hospitality, offering recommendations on dining and local attractions, and even guided us on a tour of the nearby areas to explore the diverse spices and fruits grown there. They gave us clear instructions on how to reach the viewpoints in Riverston using public transport, including a hand-drawn map, which was incredibly helpful. Plus, they prepared a packed breakfast for our early morning departure. You must stay here when visiting Matale; you'll be well taken care of and leave with new friends and fascinating insights into Sri Lanka and its surroundings. Thank you for your hospitality!

When we faced unexpected car troubles, he didn’t just express concern; he actively helped us find a mechanic and ensured everything was taken care of. That level of care is genuine and reflects the difference between mere hospitality and true humanity.
