    Outstanding stay with beautiful views

    Yesterday, we received a warm welcome from the staff at this stunning and historic property. Both the food and service were exceptional. Each afternoon, we enjoyed tea, coffee, and biscuits on the verandah, and breakfast was also delightful. Dinner was the highlight of our trip to Sri Lanka, truly the best we had during our visit. The views of the Knuckles Mountain Range, the tropical surroundings, and the swimming pool all contributed to a flawless experience. Our upper-level room was spacious, comfortable, and offered fantastic views. The property tour was a nice touch, and we even had the chance to swim in the river and stroll through the tea plantation. There’s a mountain tap providing fresh water to the property, and we relaxed to the sounds of the jungle while watching the lovely fireflies at night. I highly recommend this place.     A Hidden Gem in Sri Lanka

    This place is truly a wonderful retreat, a little piece of post-colonial paradise nestled in the hills. The food was outstanding, the house beautifully restored with great taste, and the staff were amazing—friendly and laid-back. The gardens were remarkable as well. By far, this is the best place I've experienced in Sri Lanka.

    Strathisla Tea Estate is absolutely fantastic! The estate is rich in history and wonderfully maintained, giving you the impression of traveling back in time. Our hosts, Jko and Moorthy, were exceptionally friendly and welcoming right from our arrival, making us feel at home. They truly went the extra mile to make our stay unforgettable, even taking us on a tour of the nearby area, which was filled with stunning views and fascinating stories. If you're seeking a getaway that combines charm, tranquility, and a genuine sense of place, Strathisla Tea Estate is an excellent option.

    Lovely place worth multiple nights

    This is a stunning location where you'd want to spend several days! Just one night isn't sufficient to fully appreciate the scenery, friendly staff, and delicious local cuisine. We make it a point to visit each year with great joy. Huge thanks to my friends Moorthy and Jeyakuma! Looking forward to seeing you next year.

    I really appreciated the entire concept of this renewed tea estate bungalow set in the jungle. The interior design perfectly aligns with the theme. The surrounding nature is absolutely breathtaking. The property itself is exceptionally clean and well-kept. The staff members are helpful and courteous.

    Charming stay with a few drawbacks

    The gardens were beautifully maintained, the accommodations were delightful, and we felt very welcomed during our stay. We really enjoyed the tour of the estate. Unfortunately, the pool didn't seem very inviting, despite the staff's efforts to enhance it.

    The tea estate bungalow is beautiful, offering incredible views from the lovely garden and pool. We received a very warm welcome and enjoyed delicious meals. The surroundings are fantastic, with what seems like every spice from our cupboard growing nearby.
