This beautiful colonial-style guesthouse is situated close to the center of Matale! The staff here are very friendly and accommodating, and although their English is limited, we found it easy to communicate. Breakfast was outstanding, featuring a variety of traditional dishes prepared by the lady who runs the place! They even took away everything we didn’t finish! Thank you for everything!

We enjoyed a fantastic four-night stay at this place. The room and bathroom were spotless, with a perfectly made bed featuring fresh bedding and a mosquito net. The bathroom came equipped with both shampoo and shower gel. The accommodation was very peaceful, and each morning we woke up to the sound of chirping birds! 🥰 Breakfast was incredible and more than enough for two people. Each day, we savored fresh fruit, local dishes, baked goods, and were served coffee and tea daily. 🤩 We will definitely return!

This place is spotless, peaceful, and serves excellent breakfast :) It's an ideal spot for those who enjoy tranquility. There's a lovely garden, and both the room and bathroom are very tidy and attractive. The caretakers are friendly and accommodating. I definitely recommend Irene's home :)

This stunning colonial house is just a short walk from the heart of Matale and is nestled in a beautiful garden. The amenities are excellent: our room was clean and very comfortable, and the bathroom met our needs perfectly. We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner, which were generous and tasty. The staff was extremely attentive, and we appreciated the communication via WhatsApp. Highly recommended.

This charming old bungalow boasts a stunning garden filled with a wide array of birds. It’s quiet and serene, making it a very relaxing spot. The service was excellent, with staff who were friendly and accommodating. It serves as a great base for exploring the Matale, Riverston area, and the Knuckles mountain range. We truly enjoyed our stay.
