Beautiful setting with some issues

This place is stunning and peaceful, with lovely views of the sea and a private beach nearby. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, particularly Sanjeewa! The rooms are impeccably clean, the beds are cozy, and the decor is quite stylish. However, there's a significant downside: on the 3rd floor, the water pressure is nearly nonexistent, especially when taking a shower. I ended up sitting under the faucet to wash my hair, but that caused the entire bathroom to flood. The water is stored in large tanks, so there’s no access to fresh or cool water. What really bothered me, though, was the multitude of video cameras around the property, particularly inside the house. It feels like you’re constantly being monitored.

Affordable Family Stay by the Beach

We spent two nights at Darshana Beach Hotel with our family and extended family, and it was a fantastic budget-friendly getaway. The hotel boasts stunning views of Kosgoda beach, which is just a short stroll away. Breakfast was a standout – we savored a delightful Sri Lankan feast featuring milk rice, sandwich bread, and a selection of curries we chose. The staff willingly made Pol (coconut) Sambol, fish, and dhal curry for us, which complemented both the milk rice and bread beautifully. Throughout our stay, the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. On our final day, the owner came by personally to ensure everything was satisfactory, which we truly appreciated. The rooms were minimal yet air-conditioned and definitely offered good value for the price we paid. Although there was no television, the kids thoroughly enjoyed the pool and beach area. Overall, it’s a wonderful choice for a straightforward, affordable, and relaxing beachside experience in Kosgoda.

Great beachside getaway

This was a fantastic experience! The location is perfect, providing easy access to the beach and a peaceful atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle. The views of the sea from the hotel are truly stunning. The rooms are spacious, clean, and very comfortable, complete with air conditioning and private bathrooms. The well-maintained swimming pool is an added bonus. Service here is top-notch, with staff who are quick to respond to your requests. They even offer EV charging as a service. The food is outstanding, with a wide variety available at each meal.

Great stay at Darshana Beach

I've stayed at Darshana Beach twice now and I'm quite pleased with my experiences. It's a budget-friendly, tidy, and cozy hotel. The service is commendable, the location is great, and the staff is exceptionally accommodating. The pool is cleaned daily. Towels are provided as well. You can enjoy authentic local dishes here, and they attend to every request. They even organize affordable tuk-tuks without charging high prices. This small hotel is situated almost right on Turtle Beach, where I had the chance to witness turtles laying their eggs—what an unforgettable experience! Each morning, I would open my balcony door to the sight and sound of the Indian Ocean. It's just a three-minute walk to the main road, where you can find buses, shops, and supermarkets like Food City. Whether by tuk-tuk, bus, or car, it's easy to reach Bentota or Ahungalla, and Galle and other places are also within reach. The hotel manager, Jayantha, is always available to assist. I really appreciate staying in smaller, family-run hotels where I can use the money I save for other things.
