A lovely garden retreat

Beautiful beachfront resort with great service

This resort is absolutely gorgeous, located right by the beach and embraced by warm, friendly locals. It's beautifully decorated, incredibly inviting, and the service is outstanding—truly top-notch. The view is breathtaking and will surely make you want to come back. The owners really deserve a triple A+!

Excellent customer service experience

I had made a reservation at Blue Maalu Resort for two days, but I had to cancel due to personal reasons. Even though I didn't get the chance to stay, I was really impressed by Mr. Waranga's quick replies, professionalism, and supportive attitude during the cancellation. He made everything easy and stress-free, showing great understanding throughout the process. From this experience, I can say their customer service is top-notch, and I would definitely recommend Blue Maalu Resort to others. I'm truly grateful for the courtesy and care they extended to me, and I look forward to the chance to stay there in the future.

Perfect beachfront getaway

I had a fantastic stay at Blue Maalu Resort. The location is simply ideal, right on the beach with breathtaking ocean views and a tranquil vibe. The rooms were spotlessly clean, comfortable, and well-kept. What truly enhanced the experience was the warm hospitality. The staff and host were exceptionally friendly, accommodating, and always available to help with anything we required. If you're searching for a serene, relaxing spot away from busy tourist locations, this is an excellent choice. I highly recommend it and would certainly return! 🌴

Charming place with some hiccups

We did encounter a few common issues during our stay. Some bathroom essentials were missing, such as hot water, soap, shampoo, and a hairdryer. There was no drinking water bottle, tea, coffee, or sugar either. However, we didn't let that bother us because this place really touched my heart. Unfortunately, their restaurant was closed, so when we requested breakfast from the Sri Lankan menu, we received an English breakfast menu instead. It wasn't worth the price, and I was disappointed since I wasn't keen on most of the options available. Still, it was beneficial for my partner. Overall, our experience was positive, thanks to the beautiful setting, lovely sea view, soundproof and clean room and bathroom, and the incredibly kind owner. We did face an unexpected issue when the power went out shortly after we entered our room, forcing us to wait a few hours for it to be restored. However, the owner apologized for the inconvenience and even arranged a complimentary dinner for us, which we truly appreciated.
