    Disappointing stay at Amara White Villa

    We stayed at Amara White Villa on October 19, 2025, and unfortunately, it didn’t meet our expectations. The rooms were quite small, leaving little room to move, and the furniture quality was lacking — it felt more like staying in a regular home than a hotel. In fact, my own bedroom at home is better furnished. For a triple room, only three 500 ml water bottles were provided, and when we requested an extra one, they charged us Rs. 200, despite the MRP being only Rs. 70. This felt unreasonable. We also noticed a lack of proper pest control, as we encountered cockroaches in the bathroom. The food was quite basic; for dinner, we were served soup, spring rolls, and a choice between cheese seafood pasta or Mongolian rice. Breakfast featured a small buffet with Sri Lankan dishes, but the main curries were limited to dhal and chicken. We chose this hotel primarily for the stunning sea views depicted in the photos, hoping for a pleasant beachfront experience. Sadly, the reality was disappointing. One side of the property offered a nice view of the sea, but swimming there wasn’t possible. The other side had a beach that was neither clean nor appealing for bathing. Additionally, the so-called “natural pool” mentioned in their description was not accessible. Therefore, if you're hoping for a place to enjoy a sea bath, this isn’t the right spot. In summary, it didn’t provide good value for money. While the property has potential, it’s poorly managed, and everything felt subpar. You can certainly find a better option for the same price.

    Mixed feelings about the experience

    One of the staff members was somewhat unprofessional, which left us with a negative impression. We visited for a group outing and, unfortunately, I wouldn’t suggest this place to anyone again. On a positive note, the food was tasty, and the location along with the view was impressive. I just wish they would treat their local customers better as well.

    Stunning views and great service

    Amara White Villa is truly a gorgeous spot. The rooms are remarkable — spacious and comfortable, with views that are simply unforgettable. The journey to get there was part of the charm; the road leading up was stunning. We also loved the convenience of the location, with supermarkets close by, yet it still offers a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle. The staff is exceptionally friendly, and the food is consistently fantastic, making the entire experience feel fulfilling. This is definitely one of those places you can’t wait to visit again and again.

    Great beachside dining experience

    The location is stunning, right by the beach. The staff were very helpful and attentive. The food was top-notch—fresh and full of flavor. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, especially during the busy public holiday period, even with a smaller staff. I would recommend it to anyone.

    This place has a fantastic location with plenty of areas that provide breathtaking sea views. Guests can enjoy a sandy beach and a seawater pool for swimming and unwinding.     Lovely Honeymoon Stay

    We spent our honeymoon at Amara White Villa, and it turned out to be a wonderful experience overall. Upon our arrival around 8 pm, the check-in was seamless. The staff greeted us warmly and assisted with carrying our luggage to the room. The accommodations were nicely arranged, featuring a lovely bed decoration. It was clean, tidy, and had a warm, cozy atmosphere. We appreciated the tea and coffee making facilities, and the bathroom was spotless. They provided shower essentials such as shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, body wash, and even a shower cap. A dental kit was available upon request. Throughout our stay, the staff were consistently friendly and eager to help. 😊 For our meals, we enjoyed cream chicken soup, chicken Alfredo, and chicken fried rice, all of which were quite tasty. We also sampled both Western and Sri Lankan breakfasts, and both were enjoyable. In summary, it was a tranquil and delightful retreat. ✨

    Great stay on the Sri Lankan coast

    We spent three weeks here and never had any regrets. The location is excellent, although this part of the Sri Lankan coast caters more to surfers than to swimmers. The beach stretches for several kilometers and is not crowded at all.

    Beautiful beachfront villa experience

    This is one of the best beachfront villas I've visited. The sea view is breathtaking, and the sunset is truly extraordinary. There's a nice, long stretch of beach as well. The property includes both a private pool and a natural seawater pool. The parking area is spacious enough for 10 to 15 cars. The services offered are nearly flawless. It's a quiet, serene, and ideal getaway for a weekend.
