I ordered lamprais from Green Grace Hotel in Jaffna, and unfortunately, I discovered a fly in my food while eating. This raises a significant hygiene concern and is entirely unacceptable for any restaurant.

The staff at M.D could benefit from a bit of friendliness. There's an air of arrogance that pervades the place. Additionally, the restaurant itself feels quite worn down, with everything appearing broken.

The food is excellent, offering a wide selection of Sri Lankan dishes. Just be sure to inform them if you prefer your meal less spicy, as they tend to use a considerable amount of spice.

This restaurant is conveniently located close to the railway station. The food is fantastic, but I had a negative experience with the receptionist. She was quite rude and lacked basic politeness. Additionally, the bed sheets weren't clean, and no towels were provided; instead, they used a towel as a floor mat. The furniture was also dirty, although hot water was available. I was really let down by the receptionist's attitude.

This review focuses solely on the restaurant. We enjoyed dinner there twice and breakfast once, and it was fantastic. The waitstaff were extremely friendly. We ordered the Jaffna crab curry along with other curries and had Lion Stout! Everything tasted amazing. Our children were pleased with the Western food options. We would definitely return.
