Comfortable stay with room for improvement

This hotel is situated in a great part of the city, away from the hustle and bustle. Since there's no on-site restaurant, guests can bring in food from outside. It seems to be a newly constructed hotel, featuring clean, spacious rooms. The bed is quite comfortable, and the room includes air conditioning, a ceiling fan, a mini fridge, and cable TV. There are also tea and coffee-making facilities in the lounge area, along with an ironing board available for use. The bathroom is of a reasonable size and has decent fittings. However, despite its recent build, the maintenance seems lacking. Many of the fixtures are stained and not very inviting. It appears that the hot water is supplied by solar energy, which can make temperature control tricky. One night, there was completely no hot water. Additionally, accessing the room and bathroom could be easier if there was a step, as they are on different levels. In the room, there was just a small wall hanger for clothes, which was inadequate for two people sharing the space. Overall, while the hotel offers a comfortable stay, a few minor enhancements could greatly improve the experience.

Convenient stay with friendly staff

During our recent trip to Jaffna, we stayed at Jaffna Inn, which is situated in a very accessible location close to the town. The rates were reasonable, and our room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. One downside was the absence of windows for natural sunlight, but that wasn't an issue for us since we were out most of the day. They offered a common area with facilities to make tea and coffee, which was a nice touch. The staff at the reception were incredibly friendly and helpful.

Comfortable stay in Jaffna

Great stay in Jaffna town

We were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade to a deluxe room. The staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly. The room featured large beds, clean and comfortable pillows and sheets, fresh towels, and all necessary amenities. It's conveniently located right in the center of Jaffna town. We enjoyed our 5-night stay, which felt very lovely and homely!

Mixed feelings about hotel communication

My name is John from the UK, and I learned about your hotel from a colleague. After seeing a lot of positive reviews, I was eager to visit Jaffna and stay at your place. However, I was let down by the response I received when I called last Friday to ask about the hotel facilities. A lady answered, but she had difficulty communicating clearly in English and couldn’t provide the information I needed. I was quite shocked when I inquired about transportation from the airport and was told it would take just half an hour, indicating a misunderstanding of the distance and travel specifics. As an international traveler, clear communication and accurate information are crucial. I urge management to take steps to enhance customer service and communication standards since your hotel already enjoys a great reputation. I still plan to visit in August and hope for a significantly better experience.

Pleasant Stay in Jaffna

Friendly service and great meal

The reception area and lounges are quite modern, clean, and comfortable. The staff, including the owner, are welcoming and very helpful. On a particularly hot day, the owner even paused my plans to have tea with me, suggesting I wait until the evening to go out. They treated me to a refreshing watermelon juice and provided the best meal I've had in Sri Lanka, all complimentary! The room itself was basic but thankfully came with effective air conditioning. The bathroom and common areas were kept clean and tidy. Plus, the location is fairly close to Jaffna fort, the library, and the clock tower.
