Charming Family-Owned Spot in Jaffna

I stumbled upon D'Villa while visiting Jaffna, Sri Lanka, and it turned out to be a delightful find. This cozy family-run establishment has a welcoming atmosphere, thanks to the friendly host who speaks English and is always eager to help. The rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable, equipped with A/C, a ceiling fan, and both hot and cold running water in the shower. It's located on a peaceful lane, away from the hustle and bustle, yet conveniently close to everything you need. This is the perfect spot for tourists and backpackers in Jaffna. I would highly recommend it.

Great stay with excellent service

This place was truly wonderful to stay at. The rooms are spacious and tidy. The beds are very comfortable, and the bathroom met my expectations. It's located on a peaceful lane yet still near the city. Hilda, the housekeeper, is charming. Dilan, the owner, goes above and beyond to assist you.

Great Stay at D Villa Guest House

I highly recommend D Villa Guest House. The accommodation is excellent, featuring cable TV, air conditioning, a ceiling fan, and a shower with both hot and cold water, along with a table and chair. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean. The owner, Dilan, and his family are really friendly. He even assisted me in traveling to Nainativu Island. I would definitely choose this place again if I return to Jaffna.

Convenient stay with great hospitality

I spent three nights at D'Villa guest house during my first visit to Jaffna in late December 2024. This place is conveniently located right next to the A9 main road, making it easy to access the main attractions in Jaffna. The hospitality provided by Mr. Dilan, the owner, was exceptional.

Charming Guest House in Jaffna

I spent a week at this delightful guest house situated on a peaceful street near Kandy road. Everything was wonderful, from the spacious and clean bedroom to the comfy bed and the good bathroom with hot water. Dilan is an excellent host, always willing to assist and provide advice for any guest requests. Hilda is a warm and kind lady who takes great care of the property. It's a perfect spot in Jaffna for a cozy stay.

Decent stay but cleanliness issues

I spent two nights here after booking based on the reviews. The room, unfortunately, felt quite dirty and really needs a thorough cleaning. The floors were unclean, the walls looked grimy, and the bathroom shower is due for some renovations. I requested a floor cleaning, but it never happened. You definitely get what you pay for - it’s just a basic room. It’s located next to a railway track, so if you’re a light sleeper, be sure to bring earplugs. While it’s a bit outside the town center, there are some nice ruins nearby. The host was pleasant and very helpful.

Great stay with excellent amenities

I was quite pleased with my experience here; the establishment's reputation and high ratings are certainly justified. There’s a lovely common area perfect for unwinding, dining, or enjoying a drink, plus a communal fridge that's really useful in a warm climate, along with facilities for making tea and coffee.

Great budget stay with excellent hospitality

This guest house is ideally situated within the city limits, close to Nallur and Kacheri. All rooms are located on the first floor. Mr. Dolan, the host, is very helpful and ready to assist. The hospitality is excellent, and it's a very affordable option for what you pay. There’s a fridge and kettle available for self-service around the clock. They also offer laundry services for longer stays, and the housekeeping keeps everything neat and tidy. I highly recommend this place for both business and leisure trips, and they focus on sustainability in the travel industry. Cons: There are no lifts, and there's a nearby railway track. However, the many advantages outweigh the downsides.
