Perfect Relaxation Spot in Sri Lanka
What a lovely place! We had a fantastic time exploring Sri Lanka, and our last five days were all about relaxation. Shandaru Blue Bentota turned out to be just what we needed. The staff greeted us warmly, and our sea-facing room was stunning, complete with a spacious balcony and a large, cozy bed. The beach is right at your doorstep, and the soothing sound of the waves helped us drift off to sleep each night. Breakfast offered a nice variety, and there were lunch and dinner menus as well, plus a bar serving drinks throughout the day. The staff were consistently helpful and friendly. There’s also a small gym and spa for guests. Overall, we highly recommend staying at Shandaru Blue, and we’re already looking forward to returning, especially missing that incredible pool.

Mixed Experience with Food and Amenities
I decided to visit this place after seeing some positive reviews, but I found them somewhat misleading. To start with breakfast, it was disappointing! The French toast was cold, and the only English breakfast options were boiled eggs and chicken nuggets. Ultimately, we didn’t eat anything since the uncovered fruit made us wary, especially with flies around. Dinner was also underwhelming; we tried the kottu, but it lacked flavor and we couldn't finish it. The pool is nice, although a bit cloudy, and many sunbeds were missing cushions. The drinks from the bar are just the standard plastic-bottled varieties, nothing special. On a positive note, the rooms are large and spacious, featuring a big TV and a comfortable bed, though the air conditioning was quite noisy.

Great ending to our Sri Lanka trip
The beach and pool are amazing! The pool remains impeccably clean and inviting. We had breakfast and dinner at the restaurant, and both the variety and quality were consistently impressive. Our three-night stay at the conclusion of our Sri Lanka vacation was just what we needed. It's roughly a 15-minute tuk-tuk ride into town.

Fantastic Boutique Hotel Experience
We had an excellent stay at Shandaru Blue, a charming boutique hotel that offers a wonderful atmosphere and top-notch service from the moment you step in, greeted with a welcome drink. The food was impressive; each morning we were asked what we wanted for dinner, which was prepared for us since we had booked half board. Every meal was fantastic. The pool was great, and the hotel has direct access to the beach. The staff were incredibly attentive and professional, with Roshan always available to assist us and ensure we had everything we needed. Our room, which had a lovely sea view and a balcony (most rooms do), was very comfortable. The location is also ideal, providing excellent value for money. I would definitely recommend this place.

Great stay with stunning sea views
We really enjoyed our time at Shandru Blue Beach Hotel. Our room, No. 101, offered an incredible view of the sea and was conveniently located on the ground floor, which added to our relaxing experience. The accommodations were very comfortable, clean, and well-kept. We stayed for just one night, and the price was reasonable at LKR 12,500 per person, which included a half-board option. The staff were exceptionally friendly and took great care of us during our visit. They made sure everything we needed for our gathering was arranged perfectly. In summary, we had a lovely holiday and truly appreciated our stay here. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone in search of a tranquil and comfortable escape.

Wonderful Anniversary Stay
We had a delightful experience at this hotel. From the moment I booked through WhatsApp, everything went seamlessly. We celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary, and when I mentioned it, they upgraded us to a suite with a balcony bathtub. They even decorated our bed! A big thank you to Shandaru Blue for making our anniversary so special. The staff was very friendly and quick to attend to our needs. The food was tasty, and our room was spotless. Overall, it was excellent value for money. We genuinely enjoyed our stay.

Great stay with superb service
Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a juice, but since we arrived a bit late in the evening and it was raining, we asked for tea instead, and they happily accommodated us. Our room was set up perfectly with an extra bed as we had requested, and everything from the bed sheets to the towels was spotless. Unlike many hotels, they provided a personalized locker in the cupboard that we could secure with a three-digit code, which gave us a nice sense of security. The bathroom featured a tub with all the necessary amenities like shower gel. The view from our room of the beach was breathtaking. The Wi-Fi was reliable, and with the smart TV, we were able to enjoy Netflix—something I hadn’t encountered in other hotels. Dinner was served buffet-style, and the food was fantastic, especially the mushroom soup. Breakfast also had a buffet with both Sri Lankan and Western dishes, while lunch was a set menu tailored to our preferences. The staff were incredibly friendly and provided outstanding service, making us eager to return. The cleanliness was impressive; each morning at 6:30, someone diligently cleaned the pool area, and even the beach was well-maintained. I’m thrilled we chose this hotel for a full-board stay; our entire family holiday was truly memorable. We only had one day off, so we could only stay for one day, but if we had more time, we would have extended our visit. The staff, food, and service all exceeded our expectations.

Great stay with sea view
We had a fantastic experience here. The rooms and bathrooms were spacious, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. Securing a room with a sea view was a standout feature, and we also enjoyed the pool area a lot. The staff were extremely accommodating, going out of their way to fulfill all of our requests. This place offers excellent value for the price. We would certainly come back and highly recommend it.

Spacious Room with Stunning Views
The room was large and offered a lovely view of the pool and ocean. The pool area is beautiful, featuring a restaurant that overlooks it. The beach is well-maintained and cleaned every day. The food was quite good, and the staff were very friendly.
