Comfortable stay with attentive service

We stayed at Bentota Luxe Hotel as two couples (four people). The rooms were on the smaller side, simple yet acceptable, featuring basic amenities. Cleanliness was commendable throughout our visit. The owner was very attentive and friendly, personally ensuring guests' comfort by providing pool towels, recommending nearby dining options, and checking in to see that everything was satisfactory. The pool is rather small and situated close to the rooms, making it unsuitable for serious swimming. However, it is deep enough to enjoy, and we also took pleasure in swimming there at night. Breakfast was nice; it was enjoyable and well-prepared. As a suggestion, replacing the curtains with ones that completely cover the windows would enhance privacy. Additionally, sealing the bathroom windows with mosquito nets could help keep mosquitoes at bay. In summary, it was a decent stay characterized by good cleanliness, basic facilities, a caring host, and a delightful breakfast experience.

Great stay for families with kids

We spent two nights here with our two small children and received a warm welcome. Even though we arrived without prior notice, the room was quickly prepared for us. The pool was just the right size for our kids to enjoy. Breakfast was excellent, and the shower was wonderful and very hot. We also recommend The Wave restaurant, just a short drive away, especially for families. Mark, the owner, was incredibly helpful; he lent us his charger for the night after we realized we had forgotten ours at the previous hotel. It's the little things that bring happiness!

Exceptional Hospitality and Serenity

From the moment we arrived until we departed, our experience was characterized by a unique tranquility. We initially chose this place due to its high ratings, but the experience exceeded our expectations, largely thanks to the hospitality of Mark, Amila, and Sithari, which made our trip truly memorable. The level of attentive service we received was genuinely exceptional. For example, after casually mentioning our interest in snorkeling, we found out they had not only researched options but had also created a complete itinerary for us. They accompanied us on the excursion, making it feel like we were exploring with friends rather than guides. This included a visit to the lighthouse, a boat ride, and a trip to the Spice Garden. They took care of all the logistics for a very reasonable price of $150 for both of us, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the moment. The personal touches were what distinguished this experience. They recalled our offhand remark about wanting authentic Sri Lankan food and surprised us with a delightful brunch. They even remembered our fondness for EGB (Elephant Ginger Beer), which magically appeared on our table. Our evenings were equally memorable. After a perfectly timed sunset beach walk and dinner at Maharaja Restaurant, we enjoyed late hours at the property’s lovely sit-out. Sharing stories, local drinks, and cultural insights with Mark, Amila, and Sithari under the stars was a highlight of our stay, feeling more like a genuine cultural exchange than a simple transaction. The mornings matched this lovely vibe with a lavish spread that included Idiyappam (string hoppers), sambal, dhal curry, fresh breads, local vegetable juice, hoppers, and freshly cut fruits. We felt utterly pampered. If you're seeking a place filled with heart, soul, and outstanding hosting, look no further. (P.S. Keep an eye out for the resident hen wandering around; she adds a delightful charm to the place!)

Perfect Relaxation Before Our Flight

We were looking for a last-minute relaxing stop before our flight home from Colombo, and Bentota Luxe turned out to be just right. The villa is beautifully designed with an open plan and has a homely feel. There's a modest, shared pool at the back, and it offers spa services and tours, all within walking distance of the large Bentota beach. The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive to our needs throughout our stay. We truly appreciated their assistance and the early morning breakfast they provided before our flight!

Warm Welcome to Sri Lanka

Our stay in Sri Lanka started off perfectly at this accommodation. One of the owners graciously picked us up from the airport, making our arrival much smoother and less stressful. Throughout our visit, he also took us on a river safari and a trip to a turtle hatchery, both of which were fantastic experiences for our family. The owners are incredibly kind and welcoming, and we honestly have no complaints about the lodging itself. Everything was comfortable and enjoyable. Charming hotel with great service

This cozy little hotel boasts incredibly friendly and attentive staff. The American owner on site is always eager to engage in a friendly conversation and provide helpful advice about local attractions, transportation options, and airport transfers. Recently renovated and conveniently located near the beach and restaurants, it offers a wonderful experience. The pool, excellent massages, and traditional medicine consultations add to a very pleasant stay.
