    Comfortable stay with great views

    I had a wonderful stay. 1. The place was very clean and comfortable. 2. Breakfast was good, and the coffee was hot! 3. The view of the river was fantastic, especially stunning at sunset. 4. The staff were helpful and friendly. They provided a boat to take us across the river to the beach and even had a tuktuk for transport. On our last day, the owner drove us to Colombo in his private car for a very reasonable price. I highly recommend this place!

    Great Family Stay with Excellent Service

    The apartment was ideal and spacious enough for our family of seven. It had a smart TV in the room and offered a generous breakfast. The owners and staff were friendly and pleasant. The hotel organized a boat for us to reach the beach and took care of almost everything for the guests. It's within walking distance to the shopping area for souvenirs, the market, and the center, plus the hotel is situated by the river with a lovely sunset view.

    Warm hospitality and great views

    I've visited this hotel twice and spent a few days with my family. I'm returning again next week. Each time, I'm welcomed with warmth and smiles. The rooms are fantastic—clean, spacious, and well-organized. The furniture is of high quality, the bed is comfortable and clean, and the bathroom is modern and tidy. I feel very at home with the owners and staff. I've stayed in a few 5-star hotels in Bentota before, but Amber House has left me quite satisfied. It offers excellent value for money. Breakfast is always enjoyable, and they also provide lunch and dinner upon request. The only downside is that there’s no lift in the building. However, it's manageable since the hotel only has three stories. This place boasts the best view, with the river in front, boating available day and night, and beautiful lighting at night from the balcony.

    I had a pleasant experience at Amber Lanka's family studio. The facilities were nice, and the staff was helpful. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-kept, equipped with all the essential amenities and a lovely view. The hotel's location was convenient, making it easy to access the nearby water sports area.     When we got to this location, the staff promptly helped us with our bags and carried them into our apartment. The apartment itself was quite spacious, tidy, and offered stunning views from the balcony. The staff also provided delicious meals and drinks.

    Memorable Stay at Amber House

    Our experience at Amber House was truly unforgettable. The room was huge and equipped with all the modern amenities, including a very spacious bathroom and a king-size bed that ensured our nights were perfect. The meals prepared at the house were incredibly tasty, and it was clear that a lot of thought went into making our stay special. We particularly enjoyed the complimentary boat ride to the beautiful, expansive beach – a unique and lovely experience. One of the standout moments was the boat safari led by Shen, which took us through the river and mangroves, creating lasting memories. Above all, the hospitality from our hosts, Nuwan and his wonderful wife, along with their attentive and friendly staff, made us feel right at home. Their genuine warmth and kindness elevated our visit to something truly exceptional. We wholeheartedly recommend Amber House to anyone traveling to Bentota – we are already looking forward to our return!

    Spacious Stay with Great Views

    When we arrived, the staff was quick to help us with our bags and belongings to our apartment. The space was quite large, impeccably clean, and offered stunning views from the balcony. The meals and drinks prepared by the staff were delightful and well-made. For about 5,000 Sri Lankan rupees, they also organized a lovely boat trip that lasted around 1.5 hours, which was an amazing experience. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would certainly recommend this spot to anyone traveling to the south. While the food and drinks were enjoyable, I did find some items to be a bit pricey—especially the French fries. When ordered on their own, the fries were served in a small portion for 1,400 Sri Lankan rupees, yet the same amount came with a chicken omelette for only 600 rupees. This pricing discrepancy seemed illogical, and I suggest the management take another look at it. Additionally, it would be helpful to have hot water available for showers and baths, particularly at night or during bad weather.

    Charming villa with friendly service

    This lovely small villa sits right by the water and features a swimming pool. There's a boat service that takes you across the river to Bentota beach. It's managed by a very welcoming local family who clearly puts in a lot of effort to maintain the hotel, making it a great value. We enjoyed our stay in the spacious family room upstairs.

    Huge thanks to Tharindu, Podi, and the hotel owner. We had a fantastic and incredibly relaxing time at Amber House Lanka. The hotel is stunning, serene, and very well-maintained — an ideal spot to unwind. ✨🙏🏼 The views are breathtaking, both from our room and the restaurant, making every moment feel special. The managers and staff are exceptional. They genuinely care about your needs and are always eager to assist. If you request something, they'll do everything possible to accommodate you. They even whip up homemade European and Sri Lankan specialties upon request, which are incredibly tasty. The breakfasts are ample, complete, and delicious. 🫶🏽🥰 The hotel also provides fantastic activities like boat trips, a swimming pool, and more! Podi takes the time to explain everything and show you around! A special shoutout to Tharindu and Podi, who were remarkably respectful, kind, and generous. They truly have big hearts. I wholeheartedly recommend this place. It's a very clean, friendly, and welcoming hotel. Whether you’re solo, with family, or as a couple — you’ll feel safe and at home here. 🏠✨
