Clean, Comfortable, and Friendly Atmosphere

Unreliable Booking Experience

I can't trust this place. I made a reservation for one night via booking.com and even got a confirmation email. However, I later called to cancel my booking, only to find out they had accepted an advance payment from another guest for the same room. It feels like they can cancel your booking whenever they choose, which is really concerning.

Clean hotel with great service

This hotel is really nice and clean, featuring a pleasant shower and a comfortable bed. The owner goes above and beyond, being very helpful and even drove us all the way to Kandy! It's not located in the main part of town, but you can easily find a tuk tuk, and the ride is short.

Charming stay with great hospitality

We had a lovely experience at this location. The owner was very kind and even brought us lunch when he noticed we were feeling tired. The property has a lovely small garden that enhances its charm. We definitely recommend choosing the AC rooms, as it can get pretty warm at night. Overall, our stay was comfortable and we really appreciated the hospitality.

Comfortable stay with minor issues

We booked two rooms, both of which were tidy. However, one room had an unpleasant odor, which the staff attributed to it not being used for a few days. Thankfully, the smell faded after a few hours. The hotel offers a separate area equipped with a heater and rice cooker for making Kiri Ahara, and they let us use the kitchen to prepare our own breakfast for a reasonable fee. Overall, it was a positive experience and certainly worth the price.

Comfortable stay at Hotel First Kingdom

During our trip to Anuradhapura, we stayed at Hotel First Kingdom. The rooms were spacious, tidy, and well-kept, featuring AC, a TV, and hot water. The bathrooms were also very clean. The atmosphere was peaceful, and the owner was incredibly helpful, always on hand to offer assistance. There’s a small area for preparing kiri ahara, and they provided a rice cooker for that, though we brought our own. The owner was accommodating with our room arrangements to suit our needs. We didn't sample the hotel’s meals, but we did enjoy some tea and plain tea, which were nice. However, the small dining area could have been cleaner, as the plates and cups were dirty, requiring us to wash them ourselves. Also, with the room-only package, no water bottles were supplied. The hotel is located about 6 km from Puja Nagaraya. Overall, our experience was positive. I would recommend this place for anyone seeking a budget-friendly option with basic amenities and cleanliness.
