This cozy, welcoming homestay offers a professional touch that truly enhances your travel experience. The safari was well-coordinated and reasonably priced. I found both breakfast and dinner to be superior to any restaurant I've visited during my travels. And the Wi-Fi was excellent!! I can definitely back up all the positive feedback shared here!

This beautiful home stay features lovely, spacious rooms in a fantastic location with a lovely garden. The breakfast is delicious, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The owner even helps arrange on-demand trips. I recommend this place to everyone!

The hosts were incredibly welcoming! The gentleman truly knows his stuff and is eager to assist with anything you need. He has a very fatherly demeanor, which is quite endearing! I only stayed for one night, so I don't have much more to share. I did want to extend my visit, but sadly they were fully booked! :) Also, he organizes safaris in Wilpattu, just so you know. 👌🏽

We spent two nights at this wonderful homestay, ideally located near one of the city’s artificial lakes and some highly recommended restaurants. Besides our clean, practical, and comfortable room, it was the owner, Wasantha, and his wife who truly made our visit unforgettable with their warm, friendly, and open approach to hosting. In no time, Wasantha not only arranged a highly recommended tour to Wilpattu National Park and bikes for exploring the sacred city of Anuradhapura, but he also drove us to Sigiriya, stopping by Mihintale and Pollonaruwa along the way. On a side note, he is an exceptionally safe driver and a fascinating conversationalist. His insights have also completely changed our perspective on elephants and the risks they present... which I also highly recommend exploring. Lastly, Wasantha and his wife are both talented chefs who treated us to amazing Sri Lankan cuisine during our stay. Given all this, it’s probably not surprising that we wholeheartedly suggest staying at Water Front Home Stay and Resort if you find yourself in Anuradhapura!

Initially, I thought this place felt a bit secluded, but I was completely mistaken. It’s situated in a tranquil spot, and both the house and gardens are stunning. Upon arrival, I was welcomed with a refreshing soursop juice. The room and bathroom were inviting, clean, and tidy, plus the bed was really comfortable. The air-conditioning functioned well, and there was a useful mosquito net too. Wasabtha took care of all my tour arrangements, which included driving me to Polonnaruwa, picking up the guide, showing us around, and then driving me to my next lodging. There’s a fantastic restaurant just a 10-minute stroll away, along with other options nearby. This is an ideal spot to unwind after a day of discovering the area's attractions. I felt a bit sad when it was time to say goodbye to Wasabtha and his wife.

We just wrapped up an amazing week exploring Sri Lanka with Wasantha, and we truly couldn't have hoped for a better guide and driver. From our very first message prior to our arrival, Wasantha was incredibly helpful, responsive, and knowledgeable. He offered honest suggestions about safari spots, recommended great cultural sites along our route, kept us informed about weather updates before we got there, and helped us craft an itinerary that aligned perfectly with our interests in wildlife and local culture. Nothing was too much trouble for him. He met us at the airport during the early morning hours, consistently arrived ahead of schedule, and throughout the week went out of his way to make our trip memorable. Whether it was assisting us in finding appropriate clothing for temple visits, stopping for souvenirs, locating reliable ATMs, recommending local cuisine, arranging expert guides, or pointing out hidden gems we would have missed otherwise, he was always focused on enhancing our experience. His vehicle was spotless, modern, comfortable, and fully air-conditioned, which made the longer drives enjoyable and relaxing. We always felt completely safe on the roads and appreciated his careful driving. What truly distinguishes Wasantha is his kindness and sincere care for his guests. He frequently checked in to ensure we were enjoying our outings, shared local insights throughout our journey, sent updates and recommendations even on days he wasn't driving us, and treated us more like friends than customers. His passion for Sri Lanka is evident in everything he does. Thanks to Wasantha, we had the opportunity to experience elephant bathing at Pinnawala, explored the ancient city of Polonnaruwa with an excellent guide, visited Anuradhapura and Mihintale, discovered stunning viewpoints, and learned so much about Sri Lankan culture and history along the way. If you're planning a trip to Sri Lanka and need a driver, look no further than Wasantha. He is professional, trustworthy, knowledgeable, friendly, and provides exceptional value. We had a fantastic time traveling with Wasantha from Sigiriya Dambulla to Kandy, stopping at Nalanda Gedige and Trincomalee along the way. Wasantha is incredibly kind and knowledgeable, and we gained a lot of insights during our journey with him. We highly recommend his outstanding services to fellow travelers, as he made our trip both smooth and memorable. The road trips were enjoyable, and we felt safe and comfortable the entire time. An added perk was the chance to stop at several locations and sample some delicious buffalo curd near Kanthele. We created many unforgettable moments, including spotting elephants along the route.
