Stunning hotel in a jungle setting

This hotel is truly stunning, nestled in a gorgeous jungle environment. Everything from the pool to the accommodations was impressive. I enjoyed the breakfast, which had a traditional feel that added to the experience. However, there were a couple of drawbacks: I encountered some bugs, and the bathroom was designed as a wet room, which I didn't particularly like.

Mixed experience with drinks and pool

I stopped by for a couple of drinks and paid to access the pool. There were no drink prices displayed and no menu available. I first received a warm beer, then had to return to get another beer that was frozen and twice the price of what I'd find anywhere else in town. It felt quite overpriced, and the staff were hardly around. The pool area looks appealing, but the water was not very clean.

    Exceptional Staff Support During Cyclone

The staff truly exceeded our expectations! We visited during a cyclone when the power was out, the rain was unyielding, and there was no phone reception. The team assisted us with transportation to ‘town’ for meals and offered excellent recommendations for food and massage spas, as well as transport to reach these places. Every morning, they served a fantastic breakfast, managing to do so even with just a generator! It was impressive how they managed this during such a stressful time, always smiling and helping guests with their travel plans. Our room, the Deluxe triple room with a nature view, was stylish, clean, and spacious, featuring air conditioning, a fridge, and a kettle. We wish we could have visited under better circumstances to fully enjoy everything Palmyra has to offer—the pool looked inviting! The location is slightly outside of town but easily accessible by Tuk Tuk, which they provide. It’s also conveniently close to the Sigiriya lion rock, within walking distance from the hotel. While we prefer to sleep with the air conditioning on, only a sheet was provided, making it a bit chilly. An extra blanket would have been appreciated. Additionally, we didn’t have hot water, but it’s unclear if that was due to the storm or a regular issue. They offered high-speed Starlink internet, which was a huge advantage when the power was out and phone service was down across the country. I heard this place was one of the best-equipped hotels in the area during the storm, with a generator for lights, phone charging, running water, and internet access—many other places lacked these amenities!

    Lovely resort with friendly staff

This resort is set in a tranquil spot at the base of Lion Rock, surrounded by lush, well-maintained grounds and a fantastic pool. The pool bar is a standout feature, ideal for unwinding. Our room was clean and cozy, and when the air conditioning failed for a night, the issue was resolved promptly. The breakfast offered is superb, with a wide variety and plenty of options. Most importantly, the staff here are exceptionally friendly and accommodating. All in all, it's a great place to relax and connect with nature.

Great stay with room for improvement

My wife and I enjoyed a lovely two-day stay at this resort, which has a lot of promise. However, the staff could benefit from some training on how to engage with tourists. Right after we arrived, they attempted to sell us safaris, tours, and transport, which felt a bit pushy. Additionally, the pool bar was often unattended. While I do think it's slightly overpriced regarding value for money, I still recommend this place for a stay.

    Lovely stay with attentive hosts

This place is in a fantastic spot, slightly off the main road yet conveniently close to shops and other restaurants. They offer a tasty breakfast at a reasonable price, along with a selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks on-site. Our room was large and comfortable, featuring effective air conditioning. The hosts were incredibly kind and attentive—they arranged a jeep safari for us at Hurulu Eco Park and even drove us to our next destination in Kandy, accommodating our preferred stops along the way, all at very fair prices.

    Pleasant Stay with Good Value

Nestled down a quiet lane just off the main road, the hotel provides a serene environment while remaining conveniently close to everything. They offer affordable tuk tuk rides to the main street. The pool area is lovely, and while the accommodations are basic, they are clean and feature comfortable beds that guarantee a restful night’s sleep. The young staff were friendly, helpful, and professional. They handled power outages promptly and efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption. Overall, it’s a nice and dependable place to stay that offers great value and a laid-back atmosphere.

    Charming jungle chalets with noise

My experience here was quite unusual. The chalets are beautiful, making you feel immersed in the jungle. The greenery is abundant. However, sound travels easily, so it may seem like you’re outside all night, which is alright if you don’t mind the chirping crickets. Water …

    Charming and Relaxing Stay

The location is tranquil, situated just a brief path away from the main road. It's only a quick ride to the town's restaurants. The hosts were very attentive, and breakfast offered an excellent variety each morning. The pool area provides a serene atmosphere with plenty of seating. The rooms were neat and clean.

    Highly recommend this fantastic hotel

This hotel is fantastic, and I would definitely recommend it for a stay. It's conveniently located near town, and the staff truly go the extra mile. They're incredibly kind and helpful. Dilantha arranged all of our trips upon arrival, including the elephant safari, Lion's Rock, and herbal massages. The breakfast is fantastic, and the hotel’s surroundings are beautiful. The main pool and grounds are very well maintained. We stayed in one of the new rooms with a private pool on the first floor, which puts you level with the tree canopy—a wonderful treat. We give it 5 stars and would absolutely recommend it.
