The staff and owner were incredibly friendly and helpful whenever we needed assistance. They even offered us a ride to Kandy! Our room was clean and comfortable. We highly recommend this place! Thank you! <3

Our stay was quite enjoyable and offered great value for the price. The staff were incredibly helpful and their kindness left a lasting impression on us. The location is convenient, being close to the exit gate of Lion's Rock, but there's a significant drawback: no street lighting at night. This meant we had to navigate through the jungle to get back after dinner, which was a bit unsettling. This lack of lighting is a common issue in Sigiriya, so you might consider taking a tuk-tuk to avoid the nighttime walk through the jungle.

For those looking to visit Sigiriya and Lion Rock, this is definitely the spot to reserve. The rooms are fantastic, and the location is even better. We had the opportunity to walk to Sigiriya Rock. I've heard it gets dark at night and animals emerge, so it's advisable to take a tuk-tuk. There was no hot water in the shower, but I understand that's part of being in nature. The room was tidy, peaceful, and quite pleasant.

Maapagala resort is a hidden treasure in the Sigiriya landscape. It's just a short stroll from the Lion Rock entrance. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, clean, and feature high ceilings, but they could use some extra furnishings; I needed to request a table to work on my laptop. Additionally, the bathroom window lacks an insect screen. The staff are friendly, kind, and professional. They provide an excellent breakfast that's included in the rate. The only minor drawback is that they only accept cash payments. I would definitely recommend it.

This place boasts an excellent location and impeccably clean rooms that offer a rare view. The pool is beautifully maintained with surprisingly warm water. The staff is very approachable and engages in friendly conversation without being overbearing. Each morning, the sounds of insects and birds from both the front and back balconies create a lovely atmosphere that fills you with gratitude.
