These lovely little huts offer a great view of Lion Rock. The rooms are tidy, but be prepared for the occasional small frog in the bathroom or a squirrel wandering into your space. The host is very friendly and assists with anything you may need, including arranging safaris, tours to the rocks, cooking classes, and tuktuks. I highly recommend this spot for a nature getaway.

These lovely huts are nestled in nature and offer fantastic views of Lions Rock, located a bit outside Sigiriya. The owners are very welcoming, serve a wonderful breakfast, and are happy to assist with any requests you may have. However, be aware that not all huts are secure against animals, as we discovered when a large lizard managed to enter ours. Fortunately, after some time, the owners kindly relocated us to a different hut. Additionally, the huts are quite basic, which is to be expected.

I spent time here with my parents and brother, and it was fantastic. The huts offer wonderful views and being surrounded by nature is a real treat, with plenty of wildlife around. One morning, we even woke up to monkeys right outside our window. I strongly recommend trying the Sri Lankan breakfast—it's absolutely delicious. The host and staff were very friendly and provided great information. If you have the chance, definitely stay here.

Our experience with Amila was fantastic. From start to finish during our four-day visit, we felt welcomed. All of his suggestions—drivers, safari, and food—were excellent, and the individuals he introduced us to were incredibly trustworthy and friendly. It was an overall wonderful experience. We encountered so many animals and truly enjoyed our time at Chena Huts.

We really enjoyed our time here. The host was incredibly welcoming and went out of his way to make us feel at home. The food was excellent, and he shared many insights about his culture with us. Definitely try the traditional breakfast if you’re here. We also dined at the accommodation almost every evening, and it was consistently delicious. The rooms were clean and just right for our needs. We had a lovely view of the Lion Rock and observed wild animals in the garden. Keep in mind, this is a nature lodge, so you’ll encounter a variety of animals and insects, some of which are larger than those in Europe. Also, make sure to protect yourself from mosquitoes. I would recommend staying for two nights to fully explore Dambulla, the Lion Rock, and go on a safari. It’s best to ask your host to arrange the trips and tuk-tuks for you; it’s safer and a better experience than trying to do it yourself. Watching the sunset on the other rock (the name escapes me) is also worth it. Overall, this was the highlight of our trip, and I highly recommend it. Thank you for everything!

We enjoyed a night in a stunning treehouse immersed in nature. It was serene, beautifully designed, and felt like its own little universe. Everything was spotless and very comfortable. The owner was incredibly kind, one of the nicest people we encountered during our travels. He prepared a delightful homemade dinner for us that evening and a fantastic breakfast the next morning. You can really sense the love and care he puts into this place. If you're looking to experience Sri Lanka in its most authentic form—complete with nature, tranquility, and sincere hospitality—this treehouse is the ideal choice. It was definitely a highlight of our trip. We highly recommend it!

I had a fantastic time at Chena Huts. The rooms are surrounded by nature, offering a view of Sigiriya rock, with birds and squirrels all around. The eco-friendly approach means you have all the essentials without any unnecessary luxuries. The owner is really friendly and always available to help with anything you need. Breakfast is simple but features local ingredients, and it arrives right on time!

My wife and I spent two nights here, and it felt too short. The property is stunning, offering views of both the garden and jungle. We even spotted wild elephants at night and a variety of birds. It’s a truly unique eco hotel. The owner was fantastic and very accommodating, personally taking us to Polonnaruwa when our driver canceled. He arranged Tuktuks, night jungle hikes, and a trip to Lion's Rock for us. I highly recommend this place and would definitely return.

We opted to treat ourselves by spending two nights here during our trip to Sri Lanka to visit Yala National Park. It was definitely worth the indulgence! The accommodations were outstanding, the staff was friendly and incredibly focused on customer service, and the grounds and amenities were fantastic.

Our experience at Chena Huts Eco Resort was delightful. The owner was exceptionally kind, welcoming, and eager to help. He provided us with great suggestions for activities in and around Sigiriya, which enhanced our visit. The beds were cozy, the room was immaculate, and the breakfasts were outstanding. We particularly loved the visits from a charming squirrel and a friendly cat, which added a unique charm to our mornings.
