    Good location, nice host, insect issue

    The hostel's location was great, and the host was very friendly. The air conditioning functioned really well. However, the bathroom and bed area were completely infested with insects.

    Charming Homestay with Kind Hosts

    This tranquil homestay features a wonderful host family who are incredibly kind. The rooms and bathrooms were spotless, and a locker was available in the dormitory. Breakfast was tasty. Thank you, Nilu and family, for a relaxing and unforgettable stay! 🫶

    Great stay at Lovely Lodge

    😊: We had a fantastic experience at Lovely Lodge. Nilu picked us up from Colombo airport and helped organize our travel to Ella. The room was spotless and very comfortable, complete with hot water in the shower. We enjoyed tasty breakfasts on both mornings.

    Good stay but pricing issues

    The place is decent, but the cost feels a bit steep for what you receive. Breakfast was passable. Watch out when settling your bill, as you might not pay the price advertised on Agoda or Booking.com; they’ll claim confusion. We reserved a private room that was listed at 5300 rupees on the booking platform but ended up being charged 6000 rupees instead.

    Enjoyable stay with great hosts

    I had a wonderful stay; the rooms were clean and comfortable, complete with hot showers and provided towels. The hosts were incredibly accommodating and friendly, making it a lovely experience. The location is fantastic, and I loved the interesting wildlife in the garden. I highly recommend this place to everyone!

    Exceptional Hospitality at This Hostel

    Nilu, the owner, provided the best hospitality we've ever experienced. When we had to take my friend to the hospital at 4am, he woke up, drove us there, stayed for hours to translate, took us to the pharmacy, and his family kept checking on her afterward. He was truly a lifesaver, and I can't imagine what we would have done without him. This cozy little hostel also had fantastic AC, good wifi, and was very walkable. I highly recommend it. Thank you!

    Incredible owner support during crisis

    I really want to highlight the owner of this hostel. He literally saved my life. I woke up extremely early with intense abdominal pain, and he drove us to two hospitals, staying with us to translate. I’m incredibly thankful for his kindness; I can’t imagine where I’d be without him. As for the hostel, it’s in an excellent location! The air conditioning in our room worked great. It was also clean and had a small area to secure our valuables.

    Great location and tasty breakfast

    The location was perfect, conveniently situated near all the attractions and restaurants. Breakfast was delightful, featuring eggs, fruit, roti, toast, and coffee. The staff were very friendly and assisted us in organizing the rock tours and the village tour, which I highly recommend.

    Beautiful garden and friendly hosts

    This is one of our favorite spots we've visited in Sri Lanka, featuring a stunning garden. The room was very clean and spacious, equipped with excellent air conditioning. We loved it so much that we decided to extend our stay by an extra night. The hosts were incredibly friendly and accommodating, assisting us in organizing local activities. They even helped us with bus schedules and prepared our breakfast to take away, despite the early hour! The breakfast was fantastic every day! The location is great, just a short walk from various bars and restaurants, plus there's a small shop conveniently located right outside on the road.
