Mixed experience at Coconut Bay
We just wrapped up our stay at Coconut Bay. Overall, it was decent and the rooms were beautiful. However, the photos didn't quite match our experience. Upon arrival, the owner was incredibly warm and friendly, and the room was clean and pleasant. Unfortunately, we found out the pool was out of service, which wasn’t mentioned on booking.com and was a big reason for our visit. Additionally, the sun loungers at the front were all broken, and the place seemed a bit worn out. The location left a lot to be desired, as it was quite far from anything significant. The beach was nice, but there was a lot of litter; if the hotel management could dedicate just 30 minutes each morning to clean up, it would make a huge difference. There were always staff around but they didn’t seem to be doing much, so they could easily help with that. On the plus side, the food was good, especially the omelet at breakfast, which was really delicious. I’m giving this rating because, despite the positives, it really doesn’t feel like a 4-star establishment, and we travel enough to recognize that. The owner was genuinely lovely and helpful, but it was also pricey for the experience we had. We probably wouldn’t choose to stay here again.
