Wonderful stay with great service

The manager was genuinely delightful! The room was huge, immaculate, and had a perfect atmosphere, equipped with both a fan and air conditioning to keep it comfortable. I swear, the bathroom was the largest I've ever encountered! He prepared delicious meals for me every day, and they were incredibly flavorful. There’s a serene garden where you can relax and listen to the waves, plus there's parking available if you're driving. It was such a cozy and lovely experience; I'm truly thankful. Thanks a million! 🧡

Beautiful and Peaceful Beachfront Stay

My stay at Villa Whispering Shells in Wadduwa was fantastic! The hotel is stunning and very tranquil. I booked a room with a sea-view balcony, which was simply breathtaking. Hearing the waves in the morning and witnessing the sunset from the balcony felt like a dream. The staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and attentive, always making sure I was comfortable throughout my stay. Located right on the beach, the property has a refreshing vibe. The rooms were impeccably clean, well-kept, and very cozy. One of the highlights was the pricing—excellent value for such a peaceful beachfront setting. I strongly recommend this spot for anyone wanting to relax, unwind, and soak in the charm of Wadduwa. It's a hidden gem that I would definitely love to revisit!

Stunning views, minor issues

Villa Whispering Shells boasts a breathtaking location with stunning views that truly capture the heart. The peaceful and serene environment creates a tranquil atmosphere, making it an ideal getaway. The food was incredibly tasty, enhancing the overall wonderful experience. That said, we did encounter some cockroaches in the bathroom at certain times, which was a bit off-putting. Also, there was a notice in the room asking guests not to move the chairs, which was somewhat inconvenient during our stay. Despite these minor concerns, everything else was quite charming and enjoyable. Thank you for a memorable visit.

Serene Coastal Retreat Experience

I had a wonderful stay at Whispering Shells Hotel, which I found to be truly memorable. The best part was undoubtedly the breathtaking sunset views, much like the one I captured in my photo. The golden hues of the sky blending with the tranquil sea offered a serene, postcard-like moment right from the hotel grounds. The environment is just as beautiful and calming, with swaying coconut trees and the gentle sound of waves, making it a perfect place to relax. The staff were exceptionally kind and welcoming, enhancing the overall enjoyment of my visit. If you're in search of a peaceful coastal getaway with natural beauty and attentive service, I highly recommend Whispering Shells Hotel.

Friendly staff in a quiet location

This place is situated in a tidy and peaceful area. The staff are extremely welcoming. However, I've noticed that Google Maps indicates the coastal access road near the Tangerine Hotel is closed due to sea erosion. It's better to take the road further along. I wouldn't recommend traveling here at night.

Relaxing Stay at Villa Whispering Shells

I spent two nights at Villa Whispering Shells from January 29th to 31st and found it to be a calming retreat, even with the sound of the ocean booming in the background. The caretaker was incredibly helpful and contributed greatly to making our stay enjoyable. If you're seeking a tranquil spot to unwind, I highly recommend this lovely, peaceful property, which is conveniently located not far from the Kalutara North station.

Charming villa with great value

Villa Whispering Shells is a delightful place to stay, featuring a truly kind staff member and delicious home-cooked meals that are reasonably priced and come in generous portions. Overall, it offers exceptional value for money. The front garden area is lovely for relaxing, and the nearby beach, with its variety of beach bars, is quite nice. The only downside we encountered was the street dogs in the surrounding areas, which can be unwelcoming to newcomers. However, this issue is unrelated to the villa itself, which we found to be faultless.

Charming hotel with great views

This cozy hotel offers excellent value and is run by a wonderful gentleman along with another helpful staff member. They are both incredibly accommodating and nothing seems to be too much trouble for them. The room is charming and tidy, boasting a stunning view of the sea. It's conveniently located for the coastal train, and the locals are very friendly.

Relaxing ocean sounds and modern comfort

We arrived at night, and the first thing that struck us was the sound of the ocean—the waves here are quite strong, and you can hear them clearly after dark. It was surprisingly soothing and comforting, almost like natural white noise. In the morning, the view was stunning, and the waves remained just as powerful. The property features a spacious yard with ample parking, which is super convenient if you're driving. What really caught me off guard was that even though the building appears a bit old from the outside, the interior is actually quite modern and fresh. The air conditioning was very effective, the hot water was really hot, and overall the inside felt clean, up-to-date, and comfortable. Excellent value for the price.
