    Disappointing Hotel Experience

    We were thankful to get into our room early after a long train ride, but the room was worse than a 40 LKR toilet stop at a gas station. It was dark, dingy, dated, and dirty, located at the back of the hotel and filled with mosquitoes. The bedding had stains and holes, and the towels were in the same condition. The pool was swarming with bugs. The décor consisted of overturned furniture, and everything felt incredibly worn out. The reception area resembled an overnight bus booking station. After just 3 hours, we decided to cancel and move to another hotel, which was definitely the right choice. It might be worth a laugh later on, though.

    Basic stay with breakfast issues

    I wouldn't recommend this as a destination in Tricomalee. The rooms are quite basic, yet they charge a hefty rate. I arrived for breakfast at 8:00 am, but there was nothing available to eat. I spoke with the manager, who assured me that food would be provided. In the end, I had to settle for what was on hand, which wasn't the complete menu. The juice was almost just water with some coloring. I felt really sorry for the foreign guests who came after me, as they had nothing to eat.

    Disappointing Experience at JKAB

    The room rates are quite high, yet the service leaves much to be desired. The kitchen shuts down at 9:00 pm, and we weren't even able to get a bottle of water afterward. Breakfast the next morning was lacking, offering a limited selection and no flavor at all. We felt let down, as we had high hopes for a better vacation in Trincomalee, but JKAB spoiled our night and the morning that followed. I wouldn't recommend this place to either locals or tourists.

    Terrible hotel experience

    This was among the worst hotel stays I've encountered. The staff lacked respect for guests, and even though breakfast was part of the booking, they charged extra and didn't provide it. The treatment of drivers was shocking; they were given poor accommodations that resembled animal conditions and couldn’t rest properly due to the ongoing disturbances from the hotel staff. Overall, the environment was loud, disrespectful, and very unprofessional. I strongly recommend avoiding this hotel at all costs.

    Disappointing Stay at JKAB Park Hotel

    Our experience at JKAB Park Hotel was incredibly disappointing, prompting us to leave after only three hours. Right from our arrival, it was evident that this place fell short of acceptable standards. The pool looked uninviting and was filled with mosquito larvae, a clear sign of poor maintenance. A stale odor lingered throughout the hotel, adding to our discomfort. The beds were dirty, and the bathrooms were so cramped that they were not suitable for families. To top it off, we found holes in the bedsheets, and mosquitoes swarmed the area, making it impossible to unwind. In summary, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, especially tourists. While the staff were courteous, it was clear they lacked the necessary support and training to maintain even basic cleanliness and comfort standards. This hotel is not appropriate for families, and our visit was deeply unsatisfactory.

    Good stay but needs maintenance

    Overall, it was a decent stay with fair prices and generally attentive service from the staff. Still, the hotel could use some improvements in maintenance. The TVs in the rooms weren’t functional since only a select few rooms have satellite dish receivers, which was quite disappointing. Additionally, the swimming pool requires some care—there were several broken tiles that felt unsafe, and the water seemed to be lacking adequate chlorine treatment, raising hygiene concerns. With a bit more attention and upkeep, this hotel could provide a significantly better experience.

    When visiting Trincomalee, it’s essential to stay at a hotel right by the beach. JKab Park is packed with mosquitoes and plants, making it not recommended at all.

    Delicious Seafood Rice Experience

    We went out for dinner and ordered the Jkab Special Mixed Seafood Rice. I wanted to treat my mother, and she loved the meal—she was thrilled and impressed by the flavors. I was also quite taken with it; it became a memorable dining experience for both of us.

    Great resort experience in Trincomalee

    This resort on Love Lane (Nilaveli Rd) in Trincomalee is a solid choice. It’s conveniently situated about halfway between Uppuveli Third Mile Post Junction and Abeyapura Junction. The rooms were nice, and the hospitality was exceptional. The food was enjoyable too. They have a well-maintained swimming pool, and WiFi is accessible throughout the property. I definitely plan to return when I'm in Trinco again and would recommend this place to others.
