    Great budget option in Nuwara Eliya

    We visited Blue Moon Hotel two years ago during our last trip to Nuwara Eliya, and chose to stay here again this time around. It’s truly one of the best budget hotels in Nuwara Eliya town, conveniently located near the city center and Lake Gregory. The hotel provides a decent accommodation with comfortable rooms that fulfill the basic requirements for a pleasant visit. If you're seeking an affordable option in Nuwara Eliya, Blue Moon Hotel is certainly a solid choice.

    Great stay with delicious food

    Good service despite reservation mix-up

    The reviews and photos looked promising. We had made a reservation and paid in advance, but upon arrival, we discovered that all the rooms were taken by a larger group, and our booking had not been honored. Thankfully, they quickly arranged for us to stay at another guest house nearby for the same price, which we really appreciated. Since it was a family trip, this could have been quite disappointing, but they handled it well.

    This is a wonderful place to stay, spotlessly clean and conveniently located within walking distance to Single Tree Hill and the main town. The staff are friendly and the bed was quite comfortable. Thank you!

    Great stay in Nuwara Eliya

    I made a reservation for this place around 9 PM, which was after the usual check-in time, but the host was exceptionally kind and let us check in early at 4 AM. When I called to let them know we had arrived, he picked up immediately and greeted us without any delay. The host is really friendly, helpful, and always willing to assist with any needs. The room was very tidy and reasonably priced. The beds were comfortable, and there was always hot water available for showers. The location is ideal — just a short stroll to the bus stand and downtown, making it perfect for sightseeing. Plus, there's free parking. The host even helped us rent a motorbike, allowed us to store our bags after check-out, and offered us access to a washroom before we left. Overall, it’s a fantastic place to stay in Nuwara Eliya — I highly recommend it!

    Charming guesthouse with great comfort

    This guesthouse is absolutely adorable. It has lovely communal spaces that allow you to connect with fellow travelers. It's located above the main road, but not too high up, as those hills can get really steep after a tiring day! The bed was extremely comfortable.

    Friendly staff and great value

    This hotel features a staff that is both friendly and helpful. It's clean, and the bathroom is quite modern, offering the best and hottest shower I experienced in Sri Lanka. The hotel truly delivers great value for the price. Breakfast also provides good value. Its location is excellent, with plenty of shops, markets, and restaurants within walking distance.

    Pleasant Stay at Blue Moon Hotel

    We spent a night at the Blue Moon Hotel in Nuwara Eliya and had a lovely experience. The host was incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive. Both the room and bathroom were very clean and well-kept. Breakfast was tasty and a wonderful way to kick off the day. We felt comfortable and well looked after, and we would certainly recommend this spot for a short visit.
