    Beautiful stay at Serenus Boutique Villa

    Nuwara Eliya is truly one of the most stunning locations in Sri Lanka, and our experience at the Serenus Boutique Villa enhanced that beauty. Situated just a short walk from Gregory Lake, the property provides a serene and picturesque view of the surrounding landscape. We stayed in room no. 5 (Deluxe Double room, lake view), which included a garden terrace perfect for relaxing with a coffee while taking in the scenery. The service, hygiene, and cleanliness throughout our visit were impeccable, making our short stay at the Serenus Boutique Villa very enjoyable. A special highlight was the in-house dining, where we ordered a traditional Sri Lankan dinner that exceeded our expectations in both quality and portion size. I highly recommend this place; it will surely elevate your experience in Nuwara Eliya.

    Mixed experience but great views

    I called the hotel at about 1:45 PM, and the staff member advised me to come a bit later since the rooms weren't ready. When I arrived, he suggested I go sightseeing because the rooms still weren’t available. Unfortunately, the food was quite disappointing. The only highlight was the view from the dining area balcony, which was lovely.

    Not ideal for families with kids

    1. The place isn't very child-friendly. The only kids' meal available is pasta, which they don't make well. 2. If you decide to book here, I recommend not including food in your reservation. They provide a set menu with just two options, like fried rice and pasta, and you only see this on a printed menu. It seems they may treat guests differently depending on their nationality. 3. The rooms get quite humid during the day, and if you open the windows, mosquitoes come in since the hotel is situated near a lake. There are no fans or air conditioning in the rooms. 4. The road leading to the hotel is quite challenging, making it difficult for sedan cars to access. 5. In summary, if this is your last resort in Nuwara Eliya, it's best to book without the meal plan.

    Charming stay at Serenus Boutique Villa

    I had a delightful experience at Serenus Boutique Villa in Nuwara Eliya. The room and bathroom were spotless and well-kept, equipped with all the essentials. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. I was pleasantly surprised by the anniversary bed decoration. The views of the tea plantations and Gregory Lake from the garden are breathtaking, and I found the breakfast to be quite enjoyable. Overall, it was a tranquil, cozy, and unforgettable stay. 🌿✨

    Comfortable hotel with lovely views

    This hotel offers good quality accommodations with attractive decor and high-quality furnishings. Our deluxe double room had access to a terrace and garden, along with a view of the lake. The room was a reasonable size and included a seating area. It's unfortunate that it lacked a fridge.

    The hotel offered a lovely experience with stunning views of the lake. The rooms were comfortable, and both the food and breakfast were enjoyable. The receptionist assisted with booking a local car to explore the Hindu temples, which was helpful. Overall, I had a delightful stay.

    Charming Boutique Villa Experience

    I enjoyed a lovely night at this boutique villa. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. When I arrived on my bicycle, they went out of their way to help me find a secure spot to park overnight and even prepared breakfast extra early for me. Dinner was outstanding, featuring some of the best curry and rice I've tasted. I also had one of the most restful sleeps of my trip at this hotel. The neighborhood is peaceful, allowing for a pleasant walk along the lake away from the hustle and bustle of traffic.

    Our stay at Serenus Boutique Villa was fantastic. The room was just right, with a super comfy bed and pillows, impeccably clean, and a view that truly needs to be seen to be appreciated. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful—nothing was too difficult for them. Breakfast was delightful; we regret not staying for dinner after such a great breakfast experience. Thank you all!

    Great view but limited food options

    Perched on the hill overlooking Lake Gregory, we stayed in a duplex family room. However, the stairs are quite steep, which can be challenging for young children. The food offered is somewhat lacking in variety and quality.

    Stunning views and great breakfast

    The views from the rooms are incredible, particularly in the mornings when the lake is so calm! The breakfast was fantastic—definitely the highlight of our vacation. The staff were friendly and welcoming. It was also very quiet, which is a definite plus.
