    Stunning views but uncomfortable stay

    Let's start with the good: This hotel boasts some of the best views in all of Ella. Unfortunately, my experience with the intern who checked me in was quite unpleasant. I later spoke to the owner, who was very kind, but there are several issues with the property: the beds are EXTREMELY hard and really uncomfortable, and I found blood stains on my sheets (the owner was very apologetic and addressed that issue, but between the uncomfortable bed and the rude intern, I wouldn't choose to stay here again).

    Beautiful views and breakfast

    The location is breathtaking with views that are simply amazing. The breakfast was fantastic, and I really liked the decor in the dining room. However, I noticed there was no air conditioning in the smaller rooms, and because of the altitude, the sheets felt a bit damp at first. There was also a problem with the bathroom light that wasn't addressed, and the room wasn't serviced during my stay. Despite these issues, I would still recommend it for the incredible breakfast and stunning views.

    Unexpected but pleasant stay in Green Hill

    My husband and I stayed for three nights at Green Hill, which we found on a whim after arriving late at night and feeling a bit desperate for accommodations. The owner was friendly, but he initially quoted us a rather high nightly rate, which we managed to negotiate down.

    Great view and exceptional service

    Green Hill provided lovely rooms and stunning mountain views. The service truly elevated our experience; Akila and the team went out of their way to meet all our needs. Breakfast was impressive, featuring freshly cut fruits, scrambled eggs, egg hoppers, toasts, parota, and potato curry, among other items. We had a fantastic stay at this location and highly recommend it to anyone who reads this review.

    Wonderful Stay at Green Hill Hotel

    We enjoyed two fantastic nights at the Green Hill hotel in Ella. Akila, the manager, was incredibly helpful. The views from the terrace were absolutely breathtaking. Breakfast was tasty, diverse, and generous. Definitely recommend.

    Wonderful experience at Green Hill

    My friends and I had an incredible time at Green Hill. The setting, the room, and the amenities were all just right! We couldn't have asked for anything better. However, what truly made our stay memorable was the warmth and friendliness from the staff. We felt secure, cared for, and at ease ❤️ I highly recommend this place. We all hope to return someday to see not just Ella but our new friends as well 😇 Thank you immensely, love from Ireland 🫶🏻🇮🇪☘️

    Wonderful stay with stunning views

    We reserved this accommodation for two nights on short notice, and it genuinely surpassed all my expectations. Everything was just right, and we had a fantastic time here. The location is breathtaking — located right by the hill, so when I open the balcony door, I'm greeted with stunning views. The hotel itself is charming, and the room was very spacious, featuring a large, comfortable bed. Since the hotel is perched on a hilltop, navigating up and down can be a bit challenging, but tuk-tuks are available. It's less than 1 km from the city center and around 1.3 km from the train station, making it quite convenient. The service was exceptional. The hotel manager, Akila, was incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful. He addressed every request with sincere care, which made our stay feel truly special. Breakfast was included and was simply fantastic — abundant and diverse, featuring waffles, fresh fruit, sunny-side egg salad, bread, and juice. Overall, this place is a real gem. Highly recommend!

    A Magical Stay at Green Hills

    I want to share our experience at this amazing place 🌿. My husband and I visited Green Hills in Ella in May 2026, and we completely fell in love with it ❤️. The hotel is ideally located, nestled among breathtaking mountains and beautiful nature, creating a wonderfully peaceful atmosphere. The view from our room was nothing short of stunning — waking up to that panorama each morning felt like magic ✨. The staff were exceptionally kind, warm, and attentive, making us feel genuinely cared for throughout our stay. The breakfasts were also incredibly delicious — always fresh, flavorful, and made with love ☕🍉. This hotel is absolutely worth every cent. Everything here is perfect: the ambiance, the service, the views, and the location. It has quickly become our favorite spot in Ella, and we will definitely return 💛.
