Beautiful stay in Ella

My wife and I spent some time here while exploring Ella. It's such a lovely, tidy, and peaceful spot. The view during breakfast is absolutely stunning. The staff was very polite and worked to accommodate our needs, ensuring we had a great experience. The woman who prepared our meals was incredibly kind and made us feel right at home! I highly recommend this place for couples or travelers seeking a good spot at a fair price!

Warm hospitality and stunning views

Upon arriving at Tea Pick View Ella, you’re welcomed with lovely warm smiles. The host goes out of her way to make you feel at home. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, boasting fantastic views of the mountains and tea plantations. We participated in their cooking class, where it felt like the entire family was there to cheer us on and assist us. We enjoyed sharing cooking styles and recipes together in a warm atmosphere. They also helped us arrange our day tour around Ella. It’s advisable to use a Tuk Tuk for getting around, as walking, public transport, or self-driving can be quite hectic in this small town due to the traffic. Breakfast was straightforward but nutritious. We cherished our two-night stay, waking up to the beautiful scenery surrounding the hotel. In terms of location, Tea Pick View is about a 10-minute drive from Ella Town, making it perfect for those seeking quiet evenings away from the busyness.

Fantastic stay with a great view

We absolutely loved our stay! The view from our room was incredible, and the family that hosted us were among the kindest people I've ever encountered. We even participated in a cooking class where we made Sri Lankan cuisine, which was likely the best part of my trip. I gained so much knowledge and enjoyed the most delicious food!

Charming spot with friendly service

This lovely place boasts a stunning view of the greenery. The owner is incredibly friendly, and the breakfasts featuring local dishes are quite tasty. She even shared her saris with us, allowing us to try them on for a fun photo session. The atmosphere feels very family-oriented. Overall, it's great, and I highly recommend it.

Charming Family Hotel in Ella

We had a fantastic experience at this lovely family-operated hotel. The owners are exceptionally kind, warm, and welcoming, making you really feel at home. The hotel itself is spotless and well-maintained. The setting is tranquil, and the view of the tea plantations is stunning; we even saw monkeys playing in the trees adjacent to our balcony, which was incredible! To get to the main high street in Ella, you'll need to take a tuk-tuk, costing around 400–500 LKR. Every morning, they prepared a traditional Sri Lankan breakfast for us, featuring eggs, coconut pancakes, roti, and fruit. It wasn't extravagant, but it was still delicious. The husband and wife who run the hotel are very accommodating and eager to assist with nearly any request. They even organized a tuk-tuk driver for us, and in one day, we managed to visit Nine Arches Bridge, Ella Temple, and a tea plantation for just 3,000 LKR. Additionally, there was a laundry service available for 890 LKR per kilo, and our clothes came back clean and neatly folded. Their children, aged 3 and 8, are exceptionally polite and delightful, adding to the charm of this sweet family. We truly enjoyed our time here and would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Ella.

Fantastic stay in Ella!

During my recent trip, I've stayed at three hotels in Ella, and this one stands out as fantastic! The room was clean and bright, offering a lovely view. I appreciated having hot water! Good breakfast, poor room conditions

The breakfast was quite nice, and the service was friendly. However, the room left a lot to be desired. We stayed in a room with two beds; one had a moldy smell while the other smelled of sweat. The bathroom was dirty, and we even encountered cockroaches in the room. After the first night, we chose to switch hotels. I can't recommend this place.

Beautiful rooms with great views

We reserved two fantastic rooms right next to each other, both featuring spacious bay windows. In the morning, we were treated to stunning views of the valley and surrounding trees, where we spotted toucans, large squirrels, and monkeys. It was incredibly tranquil. They also have a tuk-tuk that accommodates three people and has a trunk for storage. The value for what we received was outstanding. We didn't have breakfast there, so I can't provide any feedback on that.

Nice room, clean bathrooms and a good breakfast, shower was not always warm but that got fixed.
