Ravana Range offered a really nice stay. What I loved most was the view. It's situated high on a hill, with breathtaking mountains all around. Although it feels a bit remote from the city, there's a handy shortcut to reach the street quickly.

I’ve traveled extensively throughout Asia, and I have to say, this was my worst experience. The service and the state of the place left much to be desired. I booked a deluxe triple room, but when I arrived, they handed me a basic double room, claiming it was a favor by the pool. I requested a second key for my partner, but they didn't have one available. Although I made my reservation through Agoda and showed them the details of what I was supposed to receive, they simply replied, "We don't work with Agoda." In the end, I never got a refund for my upgrade, and I ended up paying more for a room that wasn’t clean.

Our stay was absolutely amazing. The views were simply heavenly. The hotel staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, especially Thushara and Thushan. The chefs were also very kind to us. We are an Australian couple and this is an honest review! We visited in March 2026 and were thrilled with our experience overall. Our room had a lovely pool view, which we really appreciated. The highlight of our stay was definitely the staff; we’ve never encountered such exceptional service before.

Ravana Range delivers on its promise of breathtaking views, situated high in Ella. Stepping out of our room felt like entering a different realm. Despite its elevation, it's just a short walk to the town's walking street through a shortcut. We stayed in room 203, which we loved for its corner location that offered great privacy. However, the room's layout was somewhat odd, with limited wall sockets making it tricky to charge devices, a common issue in Ella's hotels. The hotel provides a half-board option, and we found it to be the best we've experienced, with breakfast and dinner beautifully presented. The staff clearly take pride in their work. However, there are significant downsides to Ravana Range and similar hotels in the area. The access route is steep and narrow, making it daunting for those driving themselves, especially not recommended for TukTuk riders. Another issue is the proximity to some dumps located down a slope, which can lead to unpleasant odors in certain wind conditions. Additionally, the hotel is not elderly-friendly due to the three floors of steep stairs from the reception to the rooms, making it unsuitable for seniors who struggle with stairs. That said, if you're looking for excellent service and a place to relax by the pool while enjoying stunning mountain views, Ravana Range is definitely a top choice in Ella.

Our time at Ravana Range Ella Hotel was quite enjoyable. The hotel provides an incredible direct view of the Ella Gap, which really enhanced our stay. While we did encounter a minor issue at the start, the staff quickly addressed it and made things right.

This is one of the top hotels in ELLA, featuring excellent food, a wonderful staff, great room locations, and an impressive swimming pool. The manager, Tushara, is incredibly nice and humble. He ensured we were always well-fed and truly embodies the spirit of hospitality. ❤️ We highly recommend this place to anyone visiting ELLA.

Absolutely incredible service—10 out of 10! They made us feel like family. The views from the hotel are unmatched and truly breathtaking. This hotel is fantastic, situated in a wonderful location. The views of the mountains are breathtaking, and the ambiance is delightful.
