A Wonderful Ayurvedic Retreat

This place is truly amazing - I give it a full 5-star rating! I spent 14 days at the Barberyn Sands Ayurveda Resort and I was thoroughly impressed by the services they offer. Throughout my stay, I enjoyed daily treatments such as synchronized massages, acupuncture, herbal packs, steam baths, and yoga. Additionally, I received daily medicine tailored to my body type (vata, pitta, kapha). Depending on the doctor's recommendation, other treatments available include shirodhara, "cleaning day" (with laxative foods), enemas, eye treatments, shrio lepa, nasal drops, and more. The cooking is outstanding, and the room staff did an excellent job. All guests seemed very happy here. If you have a health issue and haven't found a suitable cure through Western medicine, this is definitely the place to visit. A few other positives to highlight: the beach is stunning and always tranquil, providing a peaceful atmosphere with almost no hassle. Women receive massages exclusively from female therapists, while men are treated by male therapists, ensuring a safe environment for women. The resort also offers some complimentary excursions and provides free anti-mosquito oil, which is handy since there are a few mosquitoes around, but not too many. I can wholeheartedly recommend this place. Thanks to the team for all your hard work and dedication to our care.

Exceptional stay at Sand Resort

I had a fantastic time at Sand Resort. The place is stunning, the treatments were satisfying, and the food was better than I anticipated. Most importantly, the friendly and cheerful staff made my experience unforgettable. I definitely recommend it.

A Relaxing Ayurvedic Experience

I had my first Ayurvedic treatment and was lucky to find this amazing resort. The grounds are beautifully lush and well-kept, with daily cleaning, sometimes even twice a day. The long sandy beach is just a short walk away, ideal for leisurely walks. The staff is exceptionally friendly, always smiling, and they quickly attend to any request. The food is outstanding, and both the treatments and the doctors are genuine and professional. I highly recommend this resort and will definitely be back. Consistently Wonderful Experience

This was my second visit to Barberyn Sands, a charming spot nestled between the ocean and the river. The experience continues to be fantastic. The personalized Ayurvedic treatments leave you feeling revitalized for months, and the vegetarian dishes are delicious—especially the ginger cake, mango curry, and roasted pumpkins. The team is fantastic, and the beauty of the surroundings is truly everywhere you turn.

Wonderful Panchakarma Experience

I spent three weeks undergoing Panchakarma here in October, and it felt like paradise. The staff were exceptionally friendly and professional. Both the room and common areas had a minimalist, inviting aesthetic that I really appreciated. The food was tasty, and the treatments were both intensive and relaxing, leaving a lasting impression. The doctors were knowledgeable and attentive, and the overall atmosphere was peaceful and beautiful. I have only positive remarks and would definitely love to return. Exceptional Stay and Service

We had a fantastic two-week stay here. Everything was spot on—service, cleanliness, Ayurvedic treatments, and food all rated a perfect 10/10. Relaxing wellness retreat experience

This place is a true wellness and health sanctuary in our daily lives. We enjoyed three weeks of pampering and felt completely relaxed. The resort is clean and well-kept. Every staff member is friendly, warm, and committed to their work. A big thank you to the doctors, medical team, massage therapists, kitchen staff, waiters, cleaning crew, gardeners, drivers, and everyone else who took such great care of us. We are leaving Sri Lanka feeling rejuvenated in body, mind, and spirit. We will definitely return!
