The place is spotless and well-organized, with reasonable pricing and some entertainment options. It's just a short stroll to the beach, yet far enough from the road to avoid any noise. They offer free laundry and WiFi, plus the beds are comfy, and the staff is incredibly helpful and friendly.

I took a beginner surf lesson with Mitile, who was fantastic. He helped me find the best waves and was very supportive of my awkward attempts :D I had a great time and achieved more than I anticipated for my first class!

I highly recommend this surfing club; it provided the best beginner surfing experience. My instructor, Mithila, was very professional and knew how to teach effectively. Within just a week of lessons, I learned all the basics of surfing and was able to catch waves on my own. The lessons were a lot of fun and offered excellent value for money!

I had an excellent time at this hostel! Right from the start, I felt warmly welcomed by both the staff and the inviting atmosphere. There were games available, which made it easy to socialize and have a good time. I particularly enjoyed relaxing and having drinks with friends at the hostel—the staff were incredibly friendly and joined in the fun, which made everything feel even more lively and enjoyable. The staff were consistently helpful, enthusiastic, and eager to assist with anything I needed. The pricing is very fair, and breakfast is included, which is a significant bonus. Another standout feature is the surf lessons—they're much more affordable than at other places, making it an excellent choice if you're looking to try surfing without spending a lot. In summary, I highly recommend this hostel for its fantastic atmosphere, friendly people, and great value!

After spending seven months traveling internationally, I can confidently say this place offers excellent value for your money. The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive (big thanks to everyone), the beds were roomy, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that both laundry and breakfast were complimentary. The hostel's social area and restaurant were also nicely designed, making for a very enjoyable experience. I found no issues with cleanliness; everything was up to standard. Consequently, I extended my stay by two nights, even though my original plan was just for two. If I return to Weligama, I will certainly choose to stay here again.

I spent two nights here and found it to be in a lovely location, conveniently close to both the city center and the beach. The room was spacious and the bed was both wide and comfortable. I appreciated having filtered water and a drying rack available. They made my bed each morning, which was a nice touch. Breakfast was enjoyable too. And the AC was fantastic—it felt heavenly! Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely recommend this place.

I spent three weeks at this hostel during my workation. Its location is just a 10-minute stroll from the heart of Weligama, which gives you a reason to get some exercise while working remotely all day. There’s also a small bus stop nearby for easy travel to other towns, plus a little fruit shop close by where the staff were kind enough to help me cut my fruits every time. They offer their own surf school, Secret Surf, where lessons are more affordable if you stick with them. I enjoyed surfing in the mornings, then having breakfast and working afterward—a fantastic routine, in my view. The beach is ideal for beginners! When I hurt my foot, the hosts were supportive and provided some local medicine. The place is definitely on the rise: when I first arrived, karaoke was just microphones and a JBL speaker, and singing in the warm evening was a bit uncomfortable with lyrics displayed on phones. They later added extra fans and a large TV, which made group singing and dancing much more enjoyable. Initially, I had trouble sleeping due to late-night parties, but the owners improved the schedule. By the end of my stay, they even brought in board games. I think I’ll have to come back someday to join in on those too!
