Overpriced medication experience

Recently, I had a frustrating experience at this pharmacy. I was looking to purchase Famotidine and was shown Sun Pharmaceuticals Famotidine 10 x 20mg, which typically costs around Rs 200 at other pharmacies. However, they quoted me Rs 900 for it. When I inquired about the high price, they claimed it was due to it being a branded product and mentioned that I could find a cheaper, unbranded version for about Rs 200 elsewhere, though it might be risky to use. This reasoning seems completely ridiculous to me.

Overpriced product feels like a scam

I purchased Panthenol here, and it was pricey with no price label on the box. A nearby pharmacy had it for over 500 LKR less, and their box had the price printed. This experience felt like a scam.

Helpful pharmacy for prescriptions

I recently purchased some medicine from this pharmacy. I want to buy my medicine again, but the doctor’s prescription is different from what I have in my country. I was able to consult with a local doctor who provided me with a new prescription. I hope to feel better soon. Thank you!
