Exceptional beachfront seafood dining

What a fantastic experience! Waves is undoubtedly one of the finest seafood restaurants right on the beach in Uppuveli. The view is absolutely stunning – savoring fresh seafood while listening to the waves and watching the ocean creates a perfect evening. The food was incredibly tasty, beautifully arranged, and made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Each dish was bursting with flavor and expertly cooked. The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and attentive, making us feel right at home from the moment we stepped in. The service was quick, professional, and always accompanied by a smile. If you’re in Trincomalee, you cannot miss this place. Excellent food, remarkable service, a laid-back vibe, and one of the most gorgeous beachfront locations you can find. Highly recommended – we will certainly return! 🌊🦞🌴

Great food and stunning beach atmosphere

The food was incredible, but the margarita didn’t quite hit the mark. However, the arack attack was delicious! Enjoyed dinner right on the beach while witnessing a fantastic lightning show. I absolutely loved the experience.

Delicious Crab Curry by the Beach

I stopped by Waves for an impromptu lunch and chose a table upstairs with a view of the beach. The waiter was very accommodating. We decided to try the spicy crab curry, and it turned out to be excellent. The dish featured two generously sized crabs, perfectly spicy, just as a Sri Lankan curry should be. It was definitely worth the price, as I've paid more elsewhere for crab that wasn't nearly as good. We both loved the dish, which we enjoyed with some fresh fruit juice. I highly recommend this place!

Inconsistent Fish Prices

Overall, I would say it was decent. However, the pricing for the fish is not consistent; they give you a price they believe is fair, rather than basing it on weight as it should be. It’s also wise to verify the menu prices to ensure they're current. Essentially, the prices are on the higher side.
