This is one of the best places I've stayed at. Everyone was really friendly, and I enjoyed a fantastic view of the beach. It's also close to surfing lessons. I will absolutely return here. Thanks to Samith and Nil for being so accommodating.

This hotel is ideally located right across from the waves, making it easy to check the surf at any time 🌊. The owner is exceptionally kind, which made my stay very comfortable. I would definitely come back without a second thought 🌞.

Currently, this place is undergoing renovations. The views are nice, but if you prefer not to hear a hammer drill all day, it's best to avoid staying here until the work is completed. *Additionally, there are ants in the restroom.

The view of the beach and the room's aesthetic were both quite lovely. However, the staff presence was limited, and the venue felt a bit cramped. For instance, we ran out of toilet paper during our stay. Despite this, the overall value for the price was mostly positive. I did notice that the beach here is a bit rougher compared to Unawatuna, but that's not something Villa Surf Beach can control.

Our experience was far from ideal. Breakfast and beach access were advertised, but upon arrival, we found a construction site below us—no restaurant and no food available. The beach access was also quite hazardous. They assured us a refund for the troubles, but a month later, we still haven't seen any reimbursement.

If you're considering a booking here, take note for your own benefit. Upon arrival, the hotel required us to pay in cash upfront. This was different from most other hotels we've experienced in Sri Lanka. While it might not be entirely unusual, you'll understand their reasoning once you're there.

We visited last Sunday night and it was a terrible experience. I was really let down by the poor atmosphere, which included cockroaches, and the subpar service. There’s no parking available; you have to leave your car on the street at your own risk. The place lacks many basic amenities: NO PARKING, NO WELCOME, NO TV, NO HOT WATER, NO WATER PRESSURE IN TAPS, NO FOOD, NO BED TEA FACILITIES, and NO PRIVACY. The only positive is the high rate of 30,000/= per night for 2 rooms.
