What a delightful place! The Secret Garden truly embodies its name, offering a lovely, intimate setting and tasty food. The team was friendly and attentive, and each dish tasted fresh and carefully made. It's an ideal spot for a laid-back lunch or a romantic evening meal. I highly recommend it!

We recently hosted a family reunion at the Secret Garden in Ramada Colombo. The ambiance, décor, lighting, and overall aesthetics were simply beautiful—exactly what you’d anticipate from a hotel with a 4-star reputation. The food was delicious and met our expectations, leading us to hope for an excellent experience. Unfortunately, our expectations were quickly dashed by the service—or rather, the lack of it. Interacting with the staff felt like a game of charades, as very few appeared to understand or communicate in English effectively. Despite clearly stating our preferences regarding alcohol service, they unexpectedly served drinks to those who do not drink. This charming surprise certainly did not enhance our celebration. The service was excruciatingly slow, with minimal guest engagement or attention to detail. One could almost appreciate how consistently the staff overlooked special requests—truly an unintentional skill. For a hotel known for its international standards, this experience was a masterclass in how not to achieve guest satisfaction. To prospective visitors: if you want a beautiful venue and are okay with indifferent service interrupting your special occasions, this is the place for you. To the management: a gentle reminder. It might be time to align your service delivery and quality with the stunning environment you’ve established.

I celebrated my birthday on October 3rd, 2025, with my wife and our two daughters, who are 2 and 5 years old, at a buffet dinner featuring Jaffna cuisine. The food was fantastic — the crab soup and ulundu vadai were particularly impressive. Among the desserts, I really enjoyed the treats made from sesame and rice flour, and I had the chance to try the unique Jaffna bananas. I did accidentally break a plate during our meal, but the staff were incredibly gracious and managed the situation with great politeness.

I recently dined at The Secret Garden located in the Ramada, and overall, it's a charming and inviting place with a wonderful atmosphere. The setting offers a calming vibe, making it perfect for relaxing, meeting friends, or enjoying a laid-back evening. The food and drinks were well made and pleasant, which certainly enhanced my visit. That said, service is an aspect that could use some enhancement, especially on quieter days. During one of my visits on a Thursday, there were no staff members available to take my order. I ended up having to walk to the bar to grab a menu myself and eventually went inside the hotel to ask a manager to send someone to take my order. Unfortunately, this detracted from what could have been a much smoother and more enjoyable experience. With a little more focus on consistent service, particularly during less busy times, this venue has the potential to provide an outstanding overall experience.
