Frustrating and Misleading Experience
This was truly one of the most frustrating and deceptive restaurant experiences we've ever encountered — it felt like a total scam from beginning to end. We arrived in the morning for breakfast and noticed flyers on every table promoting an "unlimited BBQ" that evening. It sounded fantastic, so we decided to skip breakfast and return later just for that offer. We spent the entire day eagerly anticipating it and planning around it. When we came back that evening, we were told rather bluntly that the BBQ special was not available. There was no apology or proper explanation — just that it was for a different "season" (which they couldn’t clearly define). They attempted to blame a "new waiter" from the morning, but that excuse didn’t hold up since the same flyers were on every table. This wasn’t a mistake — it was false advertising. Even after feeling misled, we chose to stay and give them a chance. That turned out to be a big mistake. The same flyers also promoted buy-one-get-one-free margaritas for 3300 LKR, featuring two flavors priced differently (3300 and 2800). We ordered as per the flyers. When the bill arrived, they tried to charge us 3300 for both drinks. When we questioned this, they casually explained that all the flyers were incorrect and that the actual prices were hidden somewhere in the back of the menu. So, it appears that every promotion they display for customers is just… wrong? At this point, it was evident this wasn’t mere confusion — it felt like a systematic approach to mislead customers. To make matters worse, the attitude from the owner/manager was appalling. Instead of owning up, apologizing, or trying to resolve things, we faced arrogance and rudeness. We were told, “you didn’t have to eat here, nobody forced you.” This was completely dismissive, unprofessional, and frankly shocking behavior. Just when we thought things couldn’t get worse — when we went to pay, they informed us their card machine "wasn’t working." This had never been mentioned before. We didn’t carry enough cash, which put us in a really uncomfortable and stressful situation that could have easily been avoided had they been upfront from the start. From false advertising to incorrect pricing, rude and dismissive management, and failure to inform customers about payment issues — this place embodies everything that shouldn’t be done in the restaurant business. Avoid it at all costs.
