    Great food in a relaxing atmosphere

    The dishes are incredible, the team is welcoming, and the space is neat and well-maintained. It's a calm and peaceful environment, too.

    Charming and Relaxing Dining Experience

    The CHARIOT offers a lovely and tranquil atmosphere. The staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive. Menu prices are quite reasonable. The food is tasty, and both the quality and service are impressive. Overall, it’s a fantastic spot for a vacation meal.

    Decent spot with room for improvement

    This place is okay for small groups to gather, but it doesn't quite justify the price. The lunch and breakfast options are tasty, although the breakfast selection is limited. The BBQ didn't impress me. On the positive side, the service was good, but the cleanliness of the dining area left something to be desired. The rooms come with a TV that has a Netflix subscription and are of average size, though there was an unpleasant odor in the bathroom and no hot water available. The air conditioning worked well, but only 1 liter of drinking water was provided for two people, which wasn't sufficient. There is a balcony, but the views are lacking. Parking is available for a few vehicles, and the railway track runs right next to the property.

    Disappointing stay with several issues

    I can't recommend this place for families wanting a room. Some of the bulbs on the staircase were malfunctioning, and there was an unpleasant odor upon entering our room. The TV didn't work due to a poor WiFi connection during our stay. They also didn't offer dinner as advertised because the chef was on leave. On a positive note, breakfast was provided the next day, but the swimming pool wasn't very clean. Overall, it was a disappointing experience that didn't match the 28,500/= they charged for the room. It feels like they overcharged us, and I won't recommend this place.

    Cozy stay with excellent service

    I had a wonderful one-night stay at The Chariot in Hikkaduwa with my best friend. The service was exceptional—everyone was incredibly warm and attentive, making us feel truly welcomed from the moment we got there. The ambiance has a cozy, homely vibe—like a little home away from home—which added to our relaxing experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and would highly recommend it to anyone searching for a comfortable and inviting place in Hikkaduwa. I would gladly return!
