We encountered one unfortunate issue with a small stain on our bedsheets. While the staff promptly replaced them, we still felt it wasn't quite perfect, and there was no offer of any compensation. Aside from that, our stay was pleasant, although the prices felt a bit high for the level of service. On the bright side, the breakfast was excellent, and the location was great.

We had a wonderful time here, thanks to the welcoming staff. The colonial architecture also caught our eyes. Additionally, the beach right in front, located beneath the fortress, is a lovely and somewhat hidden local gem, perfect for a morning stroll or just relaxing.

I really enjoyed my time at this place. It was wonderful to experience the Dutch lifestyle right in the fort. The atmosphere is colonial, tranquil, and the rooms are upscale and tidy, complete with large French doors. I stayed in a sea-facing room, and the balcony was quite spacious. While the breakfast options were limited, the quality was excellent. It’s the perfect spot for exploring Galle.

This is a lovely little hotel situated in an old Dutch house in Galle. The breakfast was plentiful and nicely made. The staff are wonderful, especially Blackie, the hotel dog, who ensures everything runs efficiently, especially if you share a bit of your breakfast sausage with her.

We had an enchanting stay at this hotel. Our room (33) was breathtaking, featuring a large balcony with incredible views. The staff were exceptionally kind and went above and beyond to assist us. We enjoyed breakfast on our room's balcony, which was pure bliss. This hotel offers beautiful vistas, wonderful staff, and a fantastic location. I would highly recommend it.

We were let down by the room's size, which felt cramped with a small bed, especially since we had reserved a superior room. The decor was in need of some attention. On a brighter note, we did have a balcony, one of just two, that offered a lovely sea view, and we made the most of our time there despite the room's shortcomings.

Our stay at The Bartizan was delightful. Andrew and the team were exceptionally friendly and supportive during our time there. Although we encountered an issue with our booking upon arrival, they swiftly adjusted things for us and ensured we felt comfortable and at ease throughout our visit.
