I found it to be very pricey. I had two small fillings done, and it felt like I had to point out where they were instead of being informed by the dentist. After an x-ray, I learned that each filling costs 10,000 rupees. I doubt locals would pay that much. I just hope they hold up well and I won’t need any further treatment for a long time. Wishing the best for everyone who visits and the staff as well.

After struggling with significant dental problems for quite some time, I recently had the opportunity to visit Prof. Ganananda. The experience at his dental clinic was outstanding. My dental issues were resolved in a very short time. The level of professionalism was impressive. I want to express my gratitude to Professor Ganananda and his team for their kindness and exceptional service. The fees were also quite reasonable.

The coordination here is very lacking. On my second visit, I noticed that patients are being seen haphazardly, mixing new patients with returning ones. Even with an online appointment, you end up waiting 3-4 hours to see the doctor because they prioritize a lot of follow-up patients (around 15-20). There’s no nurse or staff member available to explain the waiting process outside the room; when they do finally show up, they just tell you to "sit in the waiting area."

I had a fantastic experience with Prof. Nanayakkara. My previous dentist in Galle had recommended that I remove a wisdom tooth and even provided a misleading diagnosis. It turned out that another tooth was actually causing the problem. After consulting with my dentist in Germany, I received clear information, which Prof. Nanayakkara also confirmed. I was able to avoid a root canal treatment that was very close to happening, and he took excellent care of my tooth. He first sealed it with a temporary filling to see if there was any pain, and after several days of no discomfort, we proceeded with the final filling. I'm very grateful for his methodical approach and professional service.

I can't recommend Prof. Ganananda Nanayakkara based on our experience. During our visits, he often spoke poorly of other dentists while boasting about his own work, which felt unprofessional to us. My wife had a double crown done by him, but it broke within the first month. After returning to Australia and consulting another dentist, we learned that the tooth probably should have been extracted instead of being crowned. We decided to give him another chance and went back a year later. He offered to fix the issue, which my wife accepted. Sadly, within just four months, both teeth became infected again, and we were told that this was due to subpar dental work. We were also worried about the cleanliness and hygiene in the treatment room. Additionally, several of my wife's family members have had dental procedures with him and faced problems like fillings falling out and crowns loosening shortly after their treatments. Overall, this has been a very disappointing and expensive experience for us.

I can fully endorse this practice! While on vacation, I unfortunately broke a tooth, leading to significant pain. The entire team quickly attended to me in a highly professional and caring way. The communication was particularly enjoyable, as the dentist had excellent English skills, which made receiving treatment abroad much easier for me. After a comprehensive examination, including an X-ray, they promptly performed a root canal and placed a temporary crown. I was especially amazed that, despite my brief stay in Galle, all the necessary treatments were completed in just two days. The follow-up with antibiotics also went off without a hitch. The temporary crown has been holding strong for over nine weeks now – just like it did on the first day. A huge thank you to the entire team for their quick, skilled, and friendly support!
