I ordered the seafood platter along with fried vegetable noodles. The seafood was incredibly fresh, sourced locally! Plus, it came on a hot platter, which was a nice touch. The service was very attentive. Even though it wasn't a particularly hot night, the fan was effective for a mild evening.

This restaurant feels designed to maximize profit while providing minimal quality in both service and food. We inquired three times about the 'buttered' fish mentioned on the menu, asking if it was a whole fresh fish. Each time, we received confirmation that it was, even with gestures indicating the proper size. What we ended up with were battered fish pieces instead. We paid a price comparable to that of a whole fresh grilled fish at other establishments. After our meal, we were asked, 'Enough?' and then 'Do you want dessert?' We declined, but the bill was presented right away. To add to our frustration, there was a 10% government tax included on the bill that wasn't mentioned on the menu. Unfortunately, restaurants in this area seem to cater exclusively to tourists, offering inauthentic food and a pricing strategy that feels exploitative compared to what we've experienced over six weeks of traveling in Sri Lanka. We left feeling very disappointed, especially after reading better reviews and observing the greed prevalent in many nearby restaurants.

The seafood here is fresh and delicious, and the staff is exceptionally friendly. I would definitely recommend this place! However, I deducted a star because they add a hidden 10% charge that isn’t mentioned on the menu. They claim it’s not a 'service charge' but rather tax. It would be better if they included tax in the prices or at least noted that the bill would incur a 10% tax, as being surprised by an extra fee at the end feels misleading.

Everything was fantastic from beginning to end. I highly recommend the seafood platter, but request it to be grilled longer and with less fennel.
