The owner is extremely kind and a talented cook, arranging a safari trip for us. Staying in front of the house was delightful - the sea view and breeze were lovely. One part of the house features a tall tower offering breathtaking views in all directions. Throughout our time here, we felt right at home :)

We chose to stay in Hambantota as we were headed to Yala for a safari and wanted proximity to both the beach and Yala. Unfortunately, Hambantota turned out to be quite disappointing. The town feels very gritty and rundown, lacking in tourist infrastructure. It's a bit of a letdown for those expecting more from their surroundings.

This place is really lovely. The owner is quite friendly and helpful; we even shared beers with him during the night, which was a great experience. I highly recommend it. The rooms are nice, and the hammock outside beneath the palm trees is fantastic. - Morten. I definitely suggest staying here.

This is a fantastic place to stay. The host is incredibly friendly and prepares a wonderful breakfast. I skipped lunch and enjoyed another delicious dinner. While the rooms are somewhat outdated, they offer a hot shower and a stunning view from the courtyard. There are lovely ocean water pools for relaxation, but be cautious as the surf can be dangerous. Always keep an eye on the waves. The surroundings are peaceful and quiet, and the host can help arrange trips to see wild elephants if you're interested. It's conveniently located near other dining options, shops, and supermarkets.

The owner of this cozy hotel is incredibly friendly and welcoming. It's situated next to Hambantota's old Governmental area, just a short walk from the Heritage Museum and Sri Lanka's fortified tower, which has free entry. A few steps down the dune and you find yourself on a stunning beach all to yourself.

Seaface Rest felt like a second home during our two-night stay in Hambantota. Its location was ideal, being only about 50 meters from the beach. The garden was well-kept with hammocks and chairs, and we enjoyed our time there immensely.

This place is truly delightful. It's so peaceful and refreshing, with a fantastic view of the ocean, and the beach is just a stone's throw away. The owner is incredibly friendly and well-informed. We took some food back and he prepared an amazing barbecue that we enjoyed along with the other guests. The rooms are spotless, featuring plenty of comfortable seating and a few really cozy hammocks. It’s only a five-minute walk to the town, fish market, and bus stop, but it feels like you're in your own little paradise. I'm eager to return and spend more time at this coastal hidden gem.

This is a family-owned establishment with a very welcoming atmosphere. The staff is incredibly friendly and eager to ensure you're happy, though there are some areas in housekeeping that could use a bit of attention. Considering the prices, I can't really complain. The view of the ocean is fantastic, and you can even spot cargo ships coming into the harbor.

We spent three nights at Seaface Rest. Although it's located just off the main street in Hambantota, the tranquility here is remarkable—it's surprising how close we are to the bustling town. The distance to Hambantota is just a short walk away, making it convenient yet serene.
